@candy11: The foundation was poured on July 4th, and it was completed November 1st. So it took about 4 months :)
@Iloveyourlovethemost: thank you :) the kitchen & the doors were definitely the biggest upgrade, but it looks so amazing. we are definitely glad that we went that direction!
@MommaJenn28: I do want to custom build our house, but not our first one. We are not sure we will stay on it for very long. I do have lots of ideas though, but I want the one we custom build to be the home we will stay on for a very long time. Congratulations! Looks great.

@candy11: We built this house with the intention of it being our "forever" home. The master suite is downstairs, and the 3 other bedrooms are upstairs. So when we are older, the stairs won't be a hurdle. I would have liked to do more "custom", but at this point, I don't see much that I would have wanted to change. It exceeded our expectations, and it really is a joy being the first people to ever live in it. It was like our baby during the build process. It's like Christmas everyday!! It's beautiful! I love it! We are just now starting our home building process. Right now, it's currently a field. Haha. Just waiting on the permits. This gets me all excited!

I love home building threads! Your house looks like it turned out very nice and I love that you have a double oven range! I want one so badly when my SO and I get a house.

@MommaJenn28: So you really like it then? I know some people say that they don't like that one oven is a bit on the smaller side with them. But I figure I could use the small one to keep things warm or bake pies in it and cookies.
@Tarheelgurl: Yea I love it! The top oven is small. The bottom one is standard size. I use the top one to warm things mostly.
Your house is sooo beautiful and I am glad the vision you both had made for a beautiful home. I hope you have years and years of happiness...:)
