Today the FI and I become homeowners!!! We have had a bid in on a house for nearly 6 MONTHS. And today, finally, we are signing papers and closing on my dream house! 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, hardwood floors, and a big, green lawn for my furbabies to enjoy. I am so excited, I just HAD to share!
Over the last few weeks especially, I’ve noticed myself watching Design on a Dime over Say Yes to the Dress, reaching for Better Homes and Gardens over The Knot, and online window-shopping for furniture rather than bridal shoes. Thankfully, we have another year left until The Big Day, so I have time for a little (BIG!!!) distraction in the wedding-planning process.
Have you ever have an event come between you and the wedding-planning process? Was it a stressful situation or a welcome distraction? Can’t stay and chat any longer hive… I have papers to sign!!!!

Congratulations! We bought our first home about 2 months ago and I completely know what you mean about reaching for BH&G vs. a bridal magazine! I definitely need to start scheduling “wedding time” otherwise, none of the wedding stuff is going to get done. And it’s not that I don’t love planning/thinking of/buying things for our wedding, it’s just that the house is there NOW and the wedding is 8 months away!

Yay! I just commented on someone else’s post who is starting their house hunting. Isn’t it so relieving that you are finally closing on your house? We just recently had our bid accepted and are closing on 9/25. So a big congrats to you and wonderful that the long journey has ended VERY happily!! Yay for Homeowners!
