Well I thought I could work through this sinus and cold problem but I woke up this morning in the peak of congestion. I even woke up on time and showered for work - I even shaved! but then I got out of the shower and realized how crappy I really felt.

Oh, and to top it off, I left the oven on ALL NIGHT.

    Yikes, I'm really off!

Hopefully I can knock this one out since my guy gets home from the east coast in only 3 hours!

How is your Wednesday starting off?

Oh no about the oven!! Scary!

I'm so sorry about your congestion! Have you tried a neti pot? That always works for me. As far as OTC meds, the only one that really works on me is Mucinex DM, the kind you have to show your license to get.

Leaving the oven on is one of my biggest fears - especially when I go to work. My little furbaby is home all day so I usually check each morning before I leave - even if I haven't used it in days! At least you were home and caught it! Have you ever tried a neti pot (sp?) - they work wonders!

Whoops! I'm still bumming on the couch. We have off all week. We're leaving in 30 to have lunch with DH's mom and sister and our niece and nephew, then a dr appt, then a wax appt, then work out (maybe...wax+work out don't mix!) and clean!

Yea scary is right about the oven. I actually went to make some tea and was like "huh? why is it so warm right here". Then my eyes got huge. Thankfully nothing was in or on the oven. And it still works (its electric not gas, which is also good). My electric bill will probably be ridiculous this month. FI would prob. freak on me if he found out, I think I'll keep this one within the hive!

Tylenol Cold and Sinus usually does the trick for me... its just working a little slow.

My Wednesday is rather akward, on Monday the one partner at my firm told the other partner he was leaving and taking the other 2 secretaries and 2 of the associate attorneys with him to a new firm, as of March 1st.. Happy New year to me, I have no idea if I will have a job or not

I'm sick too. I've been on the sofa since Saturday and today is the only day I'm starting to feel better, even though I still feel like crap. My doctor gave me a prescription yesterday but I was so out of it last night I accidently 2 tablespoons of cough syrup with codine instead of 2 teaspoons, luckily FI put me to sleep last night, but when I realized my mistake this morning I was a little freaked out.

Sorry about the congestion.  Like Layla, I recommend a netipot or nasal rinse too.  It feels weird but it really cleans up your nose.

My Wednesday is pretty boring.  I'm still bumming around in sweat pants from my surgery over 2 weeks ago.

Eek!  I'm glad you noticed the stove was on this morning!  I swear by nasal rinses.  I use the squeeze bottles rather than an actual netti pot, but they work wonders!

I'm off this week, and have so far managed to sleep in, and wander over to the hive...  I'd better get rolling soon, since I didn't accomplish ANYTHING yesterday.

oh my gosh Sh1n1ngStar -- that is so awkward. I hope that they are able to communicate with you and the rest of your team letting you know their plans for the staff members who aren't leaving. If you had a choice - which partner would you want to go with?

I hope I can knock this out by tomorrow so I can sip on some champagne tomorrow night - although its looking like a New Years Eve spent "in" anyway.

No nothing has officially been said to me specifically, it is akward, they won't tell me anything. The partner who is leaving is the nicer easier one. The one who is left, doesn't communicate so it could be that one day I come in and he's like i'm going, your out of work. I've never really liked this job in the first place, so i'm trying to see it as a good chance to find something I like, but it's stressful.

I hope you feel better for new years, were spending it in on purpose, too much craziness for Christmas, we need time to ourselves.

Oh my goodness, I'm glad nothing bad happened with leaving the oven on.  I'm sorry you're feeling so sick.  I'm finally over a cold that has been kicking my butt since finals week.  Hang in there and take care of yourself!

My Wednesday has been fine.  Our office is closed all week, so no work for me!  I slept in and am trying to motivate to go to the gym.  My ILs are stopping through town today, as they drive to Ohio to visit relatives.  I'm trying to come up with an excuse so that I don't have to spend the whole day with them. ;)  Don't get me wrong, I like them, but we JUST spent 5 days at their house.  I need a break!

I hear ya Jessie - who knows maybe they are feeling the same way and are going to cut out a little early?

Hey -- does anyone know if you can exchange something at Gap without a receipt? I have a shirt I got that is a little too small and I just need to get the next size up. The tag is still on but I can't find the receipt.

I don't think they care if you exchange without a receipt if you still have the tags on it.  Especially if it's the exact same item.

Okay good. I always forgot what store's policies are! Hopefully they have the shirt in the larger size!

Okay all.. I guess I should at least take advantage of my time home and clean and organize before FI gets back.

    I'll check back later!
