    here's my story:

    i had always dreamed about a drop-waist mermaid/trumpet wedding dress in satin/taffeta.

after trying on numerous wedding dresses (50+ AT LEAST!!), i was convinced by a friend, by my mom, and also by myself (i think) that i look better in an all lace gown, and that was what i ordered.

recently, as many bees have, i started to doubt whether i had made the right choice. even though i don't have time to order another designer gown, but i believe i still have time to look for floor samples and used/preowned gowns, or even have one custom-made for me.

therefore, i have attached photos of me wearing the gown that i ordered and photos of 2 other dresses that i can't stop thinking about! I would like to have your honest opinion on how you think of the dress on me.

    the dress that i ordered:

honest opinions needed! : wedding IMG 2487 1

honest opinions needed! : wedding IMG 2485 1

    maggie sottero:

honest opinions needed! : wedding IMG 2871 1

    david's bridal:

honest opinions needed! : wedding IMG 2156 2

thanks in advance for helping me out! and good luck to everyone in find their dream dresses!

I love the lace, but I personally would go for the maggie, they both look fantastic on you! Is that Mariposa Boutique btw? That's where I got my dress! It's an enzoani.

I think the lace one looks beautiful on you (and best out of all 3)!

You look soooo pretty in your lace gown. The others are nice, but there is something about the other one that stands out on you. I also love the the way the trim flares out at the end with the lace. It seems I have seen that Maggie alot on wedding bee. So I like the all lace since it is different from the rest.

go the original, you would be crazy to go for the others. The first one was made for you. I think anyway.

Love, love, love, your original dress! I totally wanted a dress like yours before I went shopping. I ended up buying a Maggie similar to your second picture. I love my dress, but I'm still thinking about the all lace dress. Don't fret . . . I think you made the perfect choice.

The lace dress looks amazing on you!  The second dress also looks great! But I don't love the pick up rose thing (just a personal opinion).  The third dress is nice, but not as flattering and doesn't have as many cool details.

You look great in all of them.  Not much help, I guess, but hopefully comforting to know that you will look good in whichever dress you choose.  I think the first two dresses are more flattering to your figure, however (the halves of your body have better proportions).

Plus maybe your friend and your mom saw something in person that doesn't translate to photos that made it obvious to them which dress you should choose.  And it sounds like your gut reaction, which you're now doubting, was the lace.

Honestly, you look great in all of them, and that's why it's so hard for a lot of brides to choose one dress when there are so many beautiful ones out there.

My personal preference is the lace gown that you already bought anyway.  I don't think it's worth it to start looking for a different dress.  Stick with the original one!

The all lace gown is beautiful!  If you are already have that I don't see why the need to change because you look stunning in it.  However, I think the Maggie is also a beautiful dress.  I don't really like the DB one though

Maggie Sottero's makes you look thinner. I do like the all lace dress but I think that lace plus strapless isn't as good on you as the Sottero gown is :)

I like the lace and the maggie.  considering you already have the lace,  stick with that.  It looks great on you and is so pretty and romantic.

I want to vote No! on the third one.  The first two are both perfectly gorgeous on you and I'd pick between them based solely on which you like best - but since you already have the first you might as well keep it (unless it makes you unhappy then you should go for the maggie).

I love the lace dress, but I also like the maggie (not a huge fan of the david's bridal dress).  I think it comes down to whether you would regret not wearing the type of dress you always envisioned or not.  I think the lace is absolutely beautiful, and you will look wonderful in it.  But if you think you'll look back and wish you hadn't gone with lace, then I would say try to find out if you can get the maggie, because it also looks amazing.

So yeah, I'm not very helpful :-/ but I guess it just comes down to your personal taste and the style of your wedding, because visually they both look awesome.

The lace one on you is the very best by far!  I usually love Maggies, but that one makes you look like you have very short legs.  Plus I don't like the placement of the flower.  The third one is totally out!  It's not that flattering on you.

I voted Maggie Sottero, because I am a satin/taffeta/silk fan and just LOVE the Maggie Sottero on you. But this is a personal preference - you also look gorgeous in the lace dress.

    The original ROCKS your figure!
The second one, your eye goes right to the bow
The third one is beautiful ,but I still like #1 better.

I absoluely love your first choice! Your lace gown looks stunning on you..it kinda makes me wish I would have tried on lace gowns before I ordered mine!! I like the second one as well (probably because it's similar to mine, haha) but the first one really flatters your figure!

You look STUNNING in the lace dress.  The Maggie is okay and the David's bridal is not flattering in my opinion.  The lace dress is amazing on you.

I like the original much better. The DB one is just okay but I don't like the Maggie at all (although all three look beautiful on you).

The lace dress is so classic and romantic. Keep it!

I'm a lace person and I love that first dress. However I have to agree that the Maggie is very figure flattering.

I think you're perfectly fine sticking with your original dress but I will share my own experience...I bought a trumpet Lazaro dress that everyone loved and was a gorgeous dress. But like you, I couldn't stop thinking about another dress because my mind was stuck on something else. In your case satin, in my case a ballgown. When my custom order dress arrived, it didn't fit my body as well as the clipped floor sample and all my initial worries were confirmed. The trumpet didn't show off my waist and accentuated my hips. I ended up going back and still purchasing the second dress because I feel so much better in that regardless of what everyone else says.

Moral of the story: You gotta either be 100% confident with your decision; or go with your gut feeling, ignore everyone else and get the dress YOU want. Like you said, you don't get two weddings and you don't want to regret what you missed out on.

Also you can easily do a rush order on the Maggie if you want to. I went to Mariposa four months before my wedding looking for a backup dress because of my dress doubts (which I should've listened to), and they told me that the Maggie I liked could be rushed in 6-8 weeks.
