- Wedding: August 2011
Hello beautiful brides and brides-to-be! I come to you for help! The stress of choosing my wedding dress has become so stressful for me, I have completely stalled on planning anymore of my wedding! Not good! So I find that I must turn to you ladies to help me.
I bought a wedding gown a little over a year ago (allure 8677). I tried it on after 6 dresses, and fell in love. Maybe it had something to do with everyone telling me how gorgeous it was, but I had to have it. That was Jan. of 2010. In March, my fiance and I discovered someone wanted to join the family a llittle early, and we were blessed with our baby girl this past Nov. I just recently tried my dress on and could barely zip the thing up! I know my daughter is only 4 months old, but geez-louise it was tight!! I started thinking about it, and after having 2 babies 18 months apart (we have a 1 1/2 boy as well! ). I just don’t believe I feel confident enough anymore to wear this dress, even if I do lose the weight by the day of our wedding, which is in August. Therefore, I went back to the bridal salon by myself and tried on some other dresses. After talking to the consultant, she pulled a gown that had everything I discovered I wanted; tulle, lace, and beading. It was the Enzoani Dalby, and it took my breathe away. After being so insecure for so long, it was the first time in a while that I felt absolutely beautiful.
So now the issue at hand. My father is absolutely amazing, and after hearing about my situation, has offered to buy the Enzoani for me. I’m torn. Why? Because the Allure is such a gorgeous dress…I just don’t know if it is the right dress for me. The Enzoani is gorgeous as well! But in a completely different way. I never envisioned myself in a ballgown for my wedding, but hey, a wedding is a completely good excuse to wear one, right?? I don’t want to walk down the aisle completely worrying about how I look in a tight fitting dress, but at the same time, I don’t want to have a guilty feeling of taking more of my dad’s money.
So, completely honest opinions ladies. Be as upfront as you want. I can take it. I need unbiased opinions on which of these dresses look the best! I really appreciate your input, and I’m sorry this thing was so long!
Enzoani Dalby: It has a gorgeous train, but it got caught on the bench 🙁
Oh, just to mention, we are having a Catholic wedding in a beautiful cathedral church if that helps any. I included a pic of it because it’s amazing!!
