So I am having a hard time deciding on what option to use for my Honeyfund Registry.
You can choose either to customize a gift list, which offers guests a list of things that they can get you (contribute to your airfair, hotel, spa, breakfast in bed etc).
The other option is to just have a Gift amount, where the guest puts in any amount they wish.
Im wondering what all you Honeyfund bees did!! What did your guests like??

I did honeyfund and although I didn’t receive many gifts from there b/c I also had a regular registry, I went with the gift list. I have some relatives that are old fashioned and want to feel like they are giving a non-cash gift. This helped… I had one relative so excited because they thought that they “literally” bought us champagne for our hotel room. Too cute!

I did the same thing as this PP. While I only added “honeymoon” related options, I chose not to go with the gift amount, because to me, it seemed like begging for a hand out. I think presentation goes a long way. If you itemize your intentions, people will feel like they actually have bought you something, and that makes all the difference without making you appear greedy.

Didn’t use honeyfund, used http://www.wanderable.com/pages/honeymoon_registry instead. You can have a bit of both, I guess. I personally like the idea of a personalised honeymoon registry, but you can always get people to give you money for tips or like a gift card, but make those small amounts like 10 or 20 USD. Also if you want to add items of a more traditional registry, you can always do that, or have a gift table if people would rather bring you something to your wedding.
Having given money towards a honeymoon registry, I quite like it when it’s more specific. Like rather than giving money towards a vague dinner, I’d rather give money for someone to go to a specific restaurant.
