Hey, I was hoping to get some quick advice about a honeymoon me and my soon-to-be wife are planning. Quick details: we live in Montreal, love the beach, great food, drinks, beautiful places, etc. I also love sailing but my fiance isn’t too crazy about it, preferring to lounge on the beach or by the pool. Honeymoon will be in August.
Anyway, originally, our idea was to go to Hawaii, but after looking into it, the prices are just so very high, especially after factoring in dinners and drinks, which is why we considered the Caribbean and Mexico for stress-free all-inclusives. Long story short, it seems Mexico gives us the biggest bang for our buck, offering some luxurious-looking all-inclusive resorts, which should give us the rest, pleasure and relaxation that we’re looking for. I’d also be interested in visiting some beaches, ruins and cenotes. We were thinking of spending 7 nights at the Excellence Playa Mujeres, followed by 3 nights in New Orleans somewhere in the French Quarter (we’ve always wanted to go, and it seems like a good stop on our way home since we have the time).
We’re a little torn in deciding whether to go to Mexico or to do Hawaii. Maybe Hawaii would be a trip better done in a couple years when we can afford it more or are more okay staying in condos here and there since it won’t be our honeymoon. Any comments or suggestions? Thanks so much in advance.
