My FI and I booked our honeymoon!!
Our back story, my FI and I decided to forgo a large dinner reception for a luncheon so we could save our money and go on a wonderful honeymoon! We ended up picking Sandals Royal Caribbean for a whopping 10,000!! I can’t believe we ever would spend that much money but I think not having a big wedding makes up for it. We are staying in a top room for 11 nights in Jamaica and I can’t wait!
Where is your honeymoon and how long are you going for? 🙂
This Sandals resort has it’s own private island! So excited, the only drawback is I wish we had more time!

Looks wonderful indeed! I’m sure it will be worth the cost!
And yes! Booked and so excited for both the wedding and honeymoon!! We are going backpacking (some days I wonder if we are a little crazy… 🙂 )

No ours isn’t booked. We are getting married May 2015 and probably not honeymooning until the fall, (we want to go to AUS so we want to pick an appropriate season). So we have time but I’m getting antsy to book!

FutureMrsBex: MrsNG_inJersey: I’m glad we aren’t the oly ones going to Jamaica. My family and friends kept saying horrible things about Jamaica but I think it is so beautiful there and I hear the vibe is great there! Are there any excurtions you guys are planning to do off the resort? I hear the blue lagoon and Ricks Cafe are pretty cool, but that the Dunn River Falls is too popular now! Congratulations on booking your honeymoon!

Love it. We’re luckily not paying for the wedding so we can still afford a big honeymoon. We’re going to Punta Cana DR for a week. I would love to go longer but fiance works like crazy.

Wilson2Bee: We are planning on doing the Dunns River Falls, but we are making sure to go on a day when cruise ships aren’t docked. There’s only one day during our honeymoon when cruise ships come in, so we plan on staying at the resort that day. I’ve heard it makes a huge difference in the crowds and makes for a much more enjoyable experience.

We only have 3 days of our 14 day honeymoon booked thus far, we wanted to get the wedding 100% paid off before working on the honeymoon.
We are staying november 1st at a hot tub suite in the town we’ll spend around a week at, then November 2 & 3rd at the top floor in a casino.
We’re going to rent a condo on the beach for the 4th, 5th and 6th, just havent decided on which condo yet! We know we want RIGHT on the beach, where we can walk out our door and be on the beach, but there are alot of options!
We’ll spend about 5 days in chicago, and not sure after that.

Thanks for the tip! We plan on visiting Rick’s Cafe and Dunns River Falls too.

FutureMrsBex: this may be a silly question, but how did you figure out when the cruise ships were coming in? That would be awesome information to know!

You can change the month to fit when you’ll be travelling.
ETA: since you’re resort is in Montego Bay, here’s a site for cruises docking there too.

FutureMrsBex: Thank you so much, that is so smart to check that! I will be doing that then right away, I really wanted to go to Dunn River Falls but I saw all the pictures with hundreds of people there and was like.. do I want that many people around me? I hope I can coordinate something!!

MrsBlake2015: That’s awesome! I will let you know how it all looks when we get back! We leave April 26 for our honeymoon 🙂
