They gave us ballons on our door one night with a card that said to give it to the head waiter that night.

After dinner, a group of 5 waiters came to our table with a small cake and sparklers and sang “Happy Honeymoon”

It was hillarious and I cried.

I think they usually let you have a private table at dinner on Carnival instead of sitting with strangers like usual, LoL.  Idk if every cruise line does that though.

We’re just back from our Western Med cruise (Rome, Florence etc) with Royal Carribean and we got $100 credit onboard, an invite to a Honeymooners party, and a free meal at their Italian restaraunt!!  Great cruise and a really fantastic honeymoon 🙂

Ha not a “perk” per se but both carnival cruises I have been on have a version of the newly wed game (they pick a recently married / honeymooning couple, mid range and older couple).  I think all couples got a bottle of champagne and it looked like fun.

I just got back from a honeymoon cruise to Bermuda on Royal Caribbean!  It was a lot of fun!  We got a couple of small perks – we were invited to a “honeymooners” luncheon during the first day at sea (but missed it due to..honeymooning activities lol).  We also got a special fancy dessert at the specialty restaurant (something not on the menu).  It was delish and an unexpected treat because it came in addition to the desserts that we ordered.

@skyeatnight:  That’s good to know!  FI & I are taking a Med cruise with Royal Caribbean for our honeymoon!

@MyFavouriteChords: Um is it bad that I now want to go on a cruise for our honeymoon solely in the hopes of getting to participate in a cheesy newlywed gamet? Yeah, FI and I are weird like that.

When we booked our carnival honeymoon, they told us we’ll be invited to the “newlywed game,” and a honeymooner/newlywed dinner. I’ll report back on what we really get/how it is.

Disney told me we’d get a cake upon arrival, and nothing else. I really really wanted disney for no other reason than I’ve heard it’s luxurios, but FI didn’t want a bunch of kids around on our honeymoon.

We didn’t go for our honeymoon, but because we were engaged at the time we were invited to a couple honeymooners events. One included a free champagne and cake night, which was so much fun! They also sent us chocolate strawberries to our room.

@Mrs.Elivs: Disney says that so you won’t expect more…they gave us tons of free stuff and upgrades on our HM! Although it wasn’t with the cruise line, but seems like it would be similar since it’s the same company.
