Charleston, South Carolina :) I'm super excited, and I love that it isn't a typical honeymoon destination.
(psss, you've got Africa on there twice!)
My honey and I finally booked our Honeymoon at Petit St. Vincent! It's an all-inclusive resort on a privately owned island in the Caribbean. We aren't going until December, because our wedding is in the middle of the fall semester and we can't miss any more school. But we're already itching to go. Without fail, we mention our honeymoon at least once a day.
Forget the wedding, I'm ready to go on my honeymoon right NOW!
I think we're booking a private island off the coast of Belize tomorrow!!! SO EXCITED!!!
@greenleafmountain. Hehehehe I guess my unconscious really wants me to go to Africa!
I tried to fix it and now it says other twice... maybe I'll change one to the middle east.
Curucao (here)... just booked it the other day. On the second floor of one of the buildings overlooking the cliffs and the ocean.

Well it looks like for now I'm the only one staying in the US... that's fine- more shrimp and strawgrass baskets for me! MWA HA HA HA HA!
(I should probably lay off the caffeine at night...)
Come along and sing a song
And join the jamboree!

We are going to Disney World for ten days and staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge
We're not getting on a plane or leaving the country, for several reasons including budget. Instead, we're driving four hours to Door County, Wisconsin, where we have a private cottage reserved for a week. We plan to tour the lighthouses, ride the trolley, charter a sailboat, take the ferry to Washington island, eat at an old-fashioned fish boil, shop at the quaint little shops, watch the sunsets from the top of the bluff, visit some cherry farms, attend some outdoor concerts, have some wine tastings, and come back with a case of the local wines. Well in reality we'll relax most of the time and maybe do half of those things haha!
Argentina: Buenos Aires and Mendoza, although our honeymoon will not be immediately after the wedding but within the year after.
We're driving to Seattle, Wa (across Washington State) and staying 3-4 days there in a hotel just down the street from the stadiums and Pike Place. Then we're driving down to Westport, Wa and staying the remainder of the week in a condo right on the ocean.
Maui, Hawaii! :) My FI choose the destination. I thought this was only fair since he is pretty easy going about a bunch of wedding related things and also, he loves hawaii. He thinks its great because (1) you dont have to exchange money (2) its within the US and relatively safe, and (3) you dont have to learn another language - they speak English. Hahaha. Boys.
We are doing an Alaskan Cruise. I went 10 years ago and just loved it. FH has never cruised before, and I know he will really appreciate Alaska's beauty. We're going to fly into Anchorage, spend a night in Anchorage, and then take the train from Anchorage to Seward, and do a 7 day cruise from Seward to Vancouver. Pictures like this sold me on Alaska for our honeymoon:
Zip lining in Icy Strait Point, Alaska

On the train from Anchorage to Seward:

The south pole option made me laugh! People always tease us about this issue because of where we live. ("Where are you guys supposed to go for vacations?!") We always say something like that -- "The north pole sounds nice!" Hahah actually we did go on vacation to central Oregon to see some snow last winter! Still undecided about the honeymoon though...
Jamaica - Couples Tower Isle resort... in ocho rios :)
We're headed to Europe: one week doing a self-drive tour of Portugal, and one week in Paris (we've rented an apartment in the Marais). We can't wait!
@ lairdea - I have a not-so-secret obsession with researching future travel destinations (seriously, I have a freakish knowledge of the top hotels in most places) and Petit St. Vincent has been on my list for a few years. I am obsessed with the idea of those little flags that you raise if you require something (e.g. room service) and the fact that the staff don't bother you!
@ hergreenapples I'm so glad to hear that someone else has a) heard of PSV and b) has heard good things! Of course it looks amazing online, but it is always a bit of a gamble when it's an unknown quantity. Still, we are so pumped! Although Europe sounds fantastic as well!
We're going to this place: http://www.salinas.com.br/maragogi/pt/home/home.php
It's an all-inclusive resort in the north of Brazil. I just want to RELAX after the wedding, so we'll be beach bums for a week! I can't wait!
We're going to Rome for a week and then to Dublin for a couple of days on the way back! I cannot wait, but I hope the whole volcano thing doesn't cause any issues.
We just booked 7 days at Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica!!! Neither one of us have ever done an all inclusive vacation, so this will be new to both of us. I'm a little nervous considering when I go on vacation, I like to explore, but we both decided we needed to RELAX on the honeymoon, hence the all inclusive. 193 days to go. I so can't wait!!!
Napa!! Wine, food, spas....heaven :)
We want to go somewhere we know we'll absolutley love and just want to relax and enjoy the tropics so we decided on hawaii. Even though we've been before we plan on exploring a new island and going back to one of our faves. It's a delyaed honeymoon unfortunately, so I can't wait! We were able to get away for a few days locally though to Solvang and Santa Ynez Valley, so that was a nice escape in the mean time.
Hmm. the south pole and middle east just aren't feeling the love!
Cozumel, Mexico! We're still in the process of booking our hotel, but FI applied for his passport today :) SOOOO excited to get some sun & sand when the rest of our friends and family will be freezing in January! :)
We're going to St. Lucia..staying at Sandals Regency=) cannnot wait!! it looks beautiful!
We're doing a 10 day (not counting travel time) reef & rainforest trip to Australia!
The Hillside Beach Club, Fethiye, Turkey for 7 nights
It's known for it's good food and private beach and it's not far from cultural sites (http://www.pbase.com/dosseman/fethiye).
Cruise to Alaska! FI and I are soooo excited about this trip. I can't wait!
We're doing Portugal for two and a half weeks. We're starting in a villa for five days driving to the small towns surrounding lisbon, then up to the coast and the medival down of Obidos where we'll stay in a castle, then stay in a villa outside of porto for a few days and do winery tours, then stay in old porto for a few days and take the train to lisbon and stay in the city a few more days before flying home. can't wait!!
