my friend have just returned from Iberostar in Jamaica, and they couldn’t speak highly enough about it!

That being said, Jamaica is truly a third-world country, so you should definitely stay within the security of your hotel (which is why all inclusives are great).

We went to Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica and its seriously the best all inclusive resort i’ve been to. I’ve never been to St. Lucia but i’ve been to other islands in the carribean and Jamaica is still my favorite. I think a lot of that had to do with where we stayed. Jamaica is def more flat with a TON of  palm trees. Its truely what you think of when you think tropical island. we did not leave the resort except for a couple of excursions but it is still by far my favorite place. The resort played a huge part in that i think. Perfect place for a honeymoon and they have tons of included excursions.

Excellence Punta Cana in Dominican Republic.  It’s all-inclusive and adults only.  We are staying there mid-August.  A friend said if you show your marriage certificate, you can get a room upgrade or some bonus.

We paid approx $3000 total to stay 1 week, incl flight and hotel.
