Everything else has been a breeze. Given our tight budget we had to plan everything early so we can pay for it all. The only thing were having trouble with is where to go on our honeymoon. Does anyone have any ideas they can share about what they are planning? We really want to do something different and adventurous.

We’re getting married just outside Albany, NY, so we decided to make it easy on us (and our wallets) to honeymoon in Vermont. We got a room for a week at a really nice B&B and plan on doing literally nothing for five days. If we feel like it, we always have the option for hikes, picnicing, horse-back riding and outlet shopping 🙂
I’m more in favor of country-esque type honeymoons because for me, I feel like worrying about a huge trip right after the wedding is just adding to the stress. Passports, flights, etc. are thing I really can’t deal with a day or two after the wedding. What about the NE, Colorado, Napa Valley, etc?

I had this crazy idea a while back of renting a sailboat and sail the ocean for 2 weeks. Taking sailing lessons would be a fun activity to do together pre-trip too.
We decided not to do simply because it seemed a little too adventurous for us (we opted for the classic Hawaiian honeymoon) but maybe for you two.

my fiance was in the navy so it wouldnt be too outlandish. Although it might be a recipe for disaster
