We stayed at the Sunset at the Palms, Negril, Jamaica - all-inclusive resort for a weekend mini-va-k & we loved it. I dont think they have much activities though. If you are in to snorkeling, St. Croix in the Virgin Islands can also be nice - but there isnt much else to do there. However the staff, food quality and drinks were fabulous - quiet and intimate, great for a honeymoon. http://www.sunsetatthepalms.com/

How about South America - like Costa Rica or something - they have nature activities; however, not aware of any all-inclusives in that destination.

Go to Orbitz or Travelocity & click on there all-inclusive button - here's Orbtiz's: http://www.orbitz.com/App/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=allinclusive&cnt=PRO&type=fl1_qs

When is your wedding - some destinations are deeply discounted - such as Mexico in October b/c of hurricane season - which might work if you are on a budget.

    Thanks everybody!

I have looked into Costa Rica. Our wedding is June 12, 2010 and unfortunatley June is rainy seaon in C.R. :(

We have also talked about Punta Cana but I heard it is very dangerous there and you shouldn't really go outside the resort area...does anybody know anything about this???

I've been to the Dominican Republic twice and I never felt unsafe. There are places everywhere in the world that might be a little "shady" but my general advice is to use common sense. The people in the DR are really nice. We also went to Mexico and I would never go back because that is where we felt the least safe. We have been to Cuba as well and we loved it there, but I know Americans aren't allowed to go there so no sense looking into that.

I third Jamaica.  I'm not 100% about June weather, but I think it should be okay.  I don't think you'd want to choose the resort I've been to b/c it's a bit more family-oriented...but I've heard very good things about Sandals there.

We did Jamaica (Sandals, Ocho Rios) for our honeymoon last August and we loved it so much that we are going again (and staying in the same villa) for our 1st Anniversary!

I can HIGHLY recommend Sandals, Ocho Rios and they are having a great sale right now!  We got a private villa with butler for a little extra money, but most of the couples we know that went said it was just as wonderful without the extra services.  While your there be sure to check out Dunn's River Falls -- we took the boat/snorekling ride there and it was amazing!

If you have any questions or would like to see pics -- PM me!

Your choice will depend greatly on your travel experience level. If you are an avid traveller then the Caribbean may be to noivice for you. A lot of honeymooners are novice travellers and therefore feel those destinations are awesome. If I was to go I would be disappointed, as I am an avid world traveller. Costa Rica is a great choice. Maybe consider waiting a few months and go in a better season. Also Thailand  and Hawaii are great places for experienced travellers. Belize is another excellent choice with atolls and jungles to explore. Cancun is the best in terms of all inclusives and service. But choose wisley, some resorts are better than others in Cancun.  Los Cabos is great as well, but again choose wisely. Use TripAdvisor.com for reviews and suggestsions. My #1 recommendation to all honeymooners: TAHITI

    Happy Trails!
