@anamiii:  We’re planning a cruise because it’s an easy way to see a few different places without a lot of driving or flying time. I love cruises!!

You should look into Mediterranean cruises! I did one a few years ago and it was awesome. I think we started in Italy, then we hit Croatia, Greece, Turkey and maybe someplace else before ending up back in Italy. That way you can check off a few different items on your list!

Honestly, my husband and I wanted a very lo-key honeymoon where we could just relax and stay in and enjoy each other. So we went up to the UP rented a cabin. We still went out everyday, but only for a couple hours.

Out of all of those, if money were no issue, I would go to Brazil. I would definitely not go on a cruise or to Disneyworld. We went to Belize on our honeymoon and it was fantastic, but we would have loved to go to the South Pacific or South America if we had like $15K to spend (we spent about $4,500 without flights since we got them with miles). Europe is great too, of course!

@anamiii:  we are doing a western Mediterranean cruise. I’m so excited for it! We get to sample a bunch of different areas. We are staying 2 days before in Rome and 3 days after in Barcelona.

We went to Hawaii because we didn’t want to travel out of the US for our honeymoon, but if I had to all to do over again, I would go to Scotland in a heartbeat! If we ever take a 2nd honeymoon, that would be my destination of choice.

Italy, and the Amalfi coast in particular, is AMAZING. If fiance and I hadn’t vacationed there a couple of years ago, we’d definitely honeymoon there. We stayed in Positano and it was the perfect blend of stuff to do (you can do a day trip to Pompeii, for example) and relaxation/romance. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Out of those, I’d probably go with Turkey. It sounds really awesome.

We’re going to Sweden, Norway and Iceland though, and I just cannot wait.

I don’t have a suggestion other than NOT Disney World.

I think an alaskan cruise is interesting. I’m thinking about it myself!

Hi @anamiii:  What a great list to choose from !!

A lot will depend on WHICH Month.  Three months from now (assuming your WBee Profile shows your correct Wedding Date as just last week… CONGRATULATIONS) will make it March.

March is still good for the Caribbean, April ok too.  By May things start to get hot.

I’ve heard good things about Belize, but have never been.

A Caribbean Cruise is an awesome for a Honeymoon… especially if you add on a day or two at either end to relax before and after (cruises can be hectic).  BUT the big advantage is you unpack once and the world comes to you… plus the pampering… Good Food, Fine Wine, Entertainment etc… is superb.

Mr TTR & I did a week long Caribbean Cruise for our own Honeymoon, and it was AWESOME

Just remember that if you head off to the Caribbean later than May, you are getting into Hurricane Season (June 1st to November 30th) with the PRIME Time being August, September & October.

If you head off to Europe you probably want to go May or June.  July & August are hot.  September is also good.

A Mediterranean Cruise is going to be a lot more expensive than a Caribbean one (by about 50%) and that is just basic Cruise Fare.  Example if you choose a Caribbean Cruise for $ 1200 to $ 1500 in the Caribbean it is going to be somewhere around $ 2000 a person OR MORE in the Med.

We had friends who took a Mediterranean Cruise and they LOVED it !!  They went from Italy (few stops) to the Greek Islands (a few stops) to Turkey (a few stops) and then back to Rome.  They thought it FABULOUS.

Disney World… Lol, you can NEVER go wrong with this option.  Infact if you wanted, you could combine both a visit to Disney World with a Disney Cruise.  Best of both worlds.

Unfortunately, I don’t have much info on Brazil… except that they speak Portugese which makes it a bitter harder to communicate vs Spanish

Hope this helps,
