How about Santa Barbara? It is a gorgeous, relaxing location but not to far out of LA/OC that you couldn’t drive down to Disneyland for the day.

Well I live in LA but I’m 2 miles from the beach so its never foggy by my house :p I imagine Santa Barbra is similar since it is a coastal city.

There’s Mendocino up North. A couple of friends of mine when up there for their Honeymoon and loved it. They ate out, went kiyaking, and just had a grand old time.

Ohh another idea. I live in the Southbay (20 minutes southwest from downtown LA) and we have some really cute beach cities to stay in (Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach). You could get a gorgeous hotel overlooking the ocean for much cheaper than a city like Santa Monica. If you wanted to do a day trip to Catalina Island the boats take off from this area. It is also only 30 minutes from Disneyland and about 40 minutes to Santa Monica/Hollywood.

You should go to Calistoga!.  It is a cute, little town in Napa Valley.  There are tons of spas, resturants, wineries and is very close to St. Helena & Napa.  Great place for a honeymoon!

Santa Barbara is amazing!  I lived there for a few years; it’s gorgeous, has great weather, it’s very laid back, and it has good shopping & restaurants.  You’ve got the beach & mountains right there, plus there are also a lot of wineries.

Mendocino gets my vote.  I’ve been there a few times and it is so relaxing and romantic.  I also agree that Santa Barbara would be great.  Been to both and either one would be a wonderful choice.

San Diego!  It’s not just the zoo.  There are 72 miles of beaches!  The Gaslamp is super fun for night time or you can do northern beachy cities for a lower key vibe.  If I was honeymooning I would stay in Del Mar or Coronado.  There’s Balboa Park with tons of museums (free on Tuesdays).  You can do a day trip to Temecula and do wine tasting or stay there for a night.  There is so much to do!!  PM me if you want more info.
