Hello Lovely Bees,
My fiancé and I really have our heart set on honeymooning in Costa Rica, but are finding it to be slightly cost prohibitive. We are looking for an all inclusive resort (food, drinks, & activities) that is not too far away from civilization.
If any of you Bees have suggestions, reviews of places you have visited in Costa Rica, feedback, thoughts, pretty much anything–please share! Thanks so much.

@Dapsqueen: We honeymooned in Costa Rica in April 2013. We stayed at the brand new RIU Palace Resort, it was located in Guancaste. The resort just opened in december 2012 so everything was brand new, we got a great deal because we booked it before it opened so I am not sure how the rates are now. The hotel was amazing, it was def wonderful for our honeymoon. There is a RIU (not as fancy as the RIU Palace) next door that was also very nice that might be cheaper. Let me know if you have more questions!

You won’t find too many AI’s in Costa Rica; it isn’t really what CR is about. I’m not sure what you mean by “not too far from civilization”. It can take a few hours to get between locations due to the speed limits and road system.

Thanks so much for the feedback Bees!
We decided to go with Barcelo Langosta in Playa Hermosa. The location is a $5 taxi ride from Tamarindo Beach so “not too far from civilization.” We plan on doing a bunch of excursions and living it up! So freakin’ excited!!
