Just because I don’t believe I’ve seen any honey recap posts! We stayed at Secrets Silversands all inclusive resort in Mexico, about 2 hours from Cozumel. The resort was fantastic, I highly recommend it. VERY affordable as well. We had one problem there with an odor from the water treatment system from an adjacent resort, so we were moved into a second room WITH A COMPLETE OCEAN VIEW! It was awesome! Our excursions were Chichzenitza (spelling is so wrong), a few Cenotes, zip lining and swimming with dolphins. I highly recommend zip lining if you have the chance…tuns of fun!
Out of 450+ pics, here’s some highlights….
Natural Cenote (like a well) you can swim in….very cold!
Chitzenitza and the myan ruins….just awesome to see in person….
Monkey on my head in Playa de carma!
Having champagne on our Ocean view balcony….
Bungee swing!! Yippie!
Then we had the Pro photographer at the resort take some pics 🙂
Just love these photos!
And here’s the sunrise from our room the morning we left….
That’s it for now…. 🙂

Looks amazing!! I’ll have to show Fiance these pics, I want to go somewhere warm and tropical because I love the beach, but he gets bored just laying around all day.. it seems like you found lots of fun awesome stuff to do! I love love love that dolphin picture 🙂 And that’s great you were able to use their pro photographer, those look stunning!

Love Love Love honeymoon recaps!
I especially love the handprints, your Fiance with his arms crossed in front of the Mayan Ruins, the parrots… ok I love them all haha. Isn’t it so fun swimming with dolphins? They are so sleek and powerful.
Anyways, congratulations to you both!

@TheFutureMrsLamkin: were you able to bring your camera ziplining or did you have to buy pics? I wasnt allowed to bring my camera on the zip lines.
Very cool and beautiful pics. Also love the sandprints!

@Nicoley1985:Darling Husband gets bored too! I’m a beach person and he is not! We had 3 full days of excursions and the rest of the week the tropical weather wasn’t ideal for beach/pool time….just drinking, lol! And the resort’s pro photographers were great. The session is free and one picture is also free…$15 for each pic after that. Not too bad, and we couldn’t resist buying them!
@MapleMoose:The dolphins were aweso
E! Darling Husband didn’t swim, just took all the pics except the kissing one. He was my personal photographer…lol!
@danicalifornia:The food at the resort was good, lots of “fancy” “artsy” food. Honestly of the 8 restaurants there, we enjoyed room service and breakfast the most. Sometimes “fancy” food isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and ya just want a freakin burger! Lol! I did the swim at The dolphin discovery in riveria maya. It was about 45 from our resort.
@Stammie16:Nope, no camera on the zip lines. We bought our pics that they took for us. We got 15 pics for $35, but it was worth it!
It was such a good time! We actually met a few couples married on the same day as us and they live about 30 min from us! And a girl I worked with years ago happened to be staying at our resort as well…small world!

@Vegan: Thanks! And you should do it! Very affordable! Flights are expensive, but the resorts have adjusted their rates to make up the difference.
