we're honeymooning at a spa for two nights that's about 1hr away from our reception site! It's in the woods, secluded and very relaxing. I have done lots of traveling already and to be honest, I'm kind of looking forward to NOT stressing about big travel plans right after the wedding. I do wish we could take more time though, but our work schedules don't allow it. :(
I know, right?? There's something about the familiar drive up to the familiar gorgeous cabin, stopping at a familiar grocery store for supplies. It just sounds so great after what will be a fabulous, but I'm sure, exhausting couple of days. I am just so psyched!!
We are going to our place in the Ozarks. So can't wait. Fishing and boating for two weeks with no kids, OMG, Heaven! FH's sister has a place right down the road and they will be there two, we have so much fun with them. So looking forward to it.
Woo! We're doing a mini-moon in Two Harbors, MN, after the wedding. We're doing a longer trip this winter, hopefully, to a resort in Mexico. I'm super excited to spend some time on Lake Superior and at Gooseberry.
We're honeymooning in Brainerd, Minnesota for a week after our wedding :) We rented a cottage on VRBO. One week, just the two of us, with boating, the lake, and sun!!
@jduck84, we're honeymooning closer to Grand Marais, we'll be driving through Two Harbors! I love northeastern MN. I think it's stunning, romantic, and a great place for a honeymoon. My parents place in on the Gunflint Trail north of Grand Marais, and I can't wait to show it to my fiance. <3 <3<3 Minnesota.
We went to Devil's Lake ND! We love fishing, and my parents have a couple houses there. We used our money dance (which the hubby had to talk me into) money for fuel! That was all we had to pay for!
we're doing a mini-moon on the northshore at a fabulous bed & breakfast near our family's cabin and then doing a full honeymoon elsewhere in the spring! i've lived in ND for two years now and miss Minnesota every day!
@Searle: It's the trees isn't it? You miss the trees :) ..I'm only guessing because I only know of like 2 trees in ND ;)
@shescountry - IT IS! i miss the fall colors & all the beautiful trees :( ND has its own beauty, but I'll *always* be a Minnesota girl!!
Well don't miss it took much ladies. It's CHILLAY here right now!! haha I love Minnesota and it's gorgeous but honestly wish I didn't spend 9 months of the year shivering! Oh the complaining never ends. Northern MN is beautiful though. I really enjoyed spending 5 days in the Boundary Waters. Such a different experiance!

My fiance and I are on a strict budget. At first we were thinking about going camping in Yellowstone for our honeymoon, but then we decided on an even cheaper option... going to my parents' cabin in northern Minnesota for about a week after the wedding. It's beautiful, and familiar, and private, and I just love it. I never would have imagined that having my honeymoon somewhere I've been before would be so exciting, but seriously, I'm so so so excited. Yay for frugality paying off in all sorts of ways!!
