I was just at the end of June and it was absolutely beautiful! You HAVE to take the gondolas up.. and that takes a good day to properly see… you can also have dinner up in the mountains! If you are a skiier/snowboard thats an option in the summer months up high. There are also bike rentals. There are also a ton of little restaurants/bars and shops that you cna check out… I was thinking that it would be a very romantic place to have a honeymoon.. and the guides are great!

I went to Whistler a couple years ago in October.  Its gorgeous!  The drive from Vancouver to Whistler is amazing.  When I was there a lot of things were closed because they were setting up for the Winter Olympics but we still had a lot of fun.  The gondola is awesome and there’s also some bungee jumping (I can’t remember where it is exactly because my friend and I decided not to do it).  Lots of cute little shops and really good restaurants around.  You can do jeep trips to see bears in their natural habitat.  I don’t really know what else to tell you… For me, it was a nice, relaxing getaway.  Everyone was super nice out there too.

What types of things are you looking to do? 7days is a bit long I think. Have you looked at Nita Lake Lodge? It’s really nice. it might be nice to stay in vancouver for a few days and then do whistler for a few nights.

@FutureMrsRoos:  We actually spent a week in Whistler for our honeymoon in January. It was amazing! And there were so many things we didn’t get to do. We were actually in Whister for 7 nights and then spent 1 night in Vancouver before flying back.

We LOVED Whistler! The restaurants were amazing and the activities were super fun! I realize you’re going during the summer and we went in the winter but I still think you will have plenty to do. We did skiing, dog sledding, snow shoeing, and snow mobiling. If you are outdoorsy, there is tons of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding in the summer! We stayed at the Four Seasons (which was AMAZING)! In Vancouver we stayed at the Fairmont Pacific Rim (also amazing)!

Do it! FI and I went to Vancouver for 4 nights and Whistler for 6 nights this summer. There are tons of places to hike, fun restaurants in the village, and great rock climbing if you’re into that kind of thing 🙂
