- Wedding: July 2013
Just looking for a bit of advice. Heres a bit of background info…I got married July 12th and 3 days afterwards my husband completely dislocated and locked his knee in a very unique way. We are unsure if he even needs surgery at this point. Only now he is starting to walk on it and has been going to physio 3-4 times/week (thankfully he’s a teacher and has summers off!). Needless to say our Italian honeymoon was cancelled since he was bed ridden by doctors orders for the first 3 weeks. We are planning to go over the christmas break (dec 21-Jan 5th). Unfortunately the Amalfi Coast is apparently dead and a lot of the shops are closed during christmas time and Italy isnt the greatest place to go over winter months. We definitely don’t want to do a resort and will need something that doesn’t require scaling mountains or hiking because of his knee. I know europe has a lot of walking tours which will be fine though. Other than that the next available time for travel would be March Break and then the following summer! We also want to start trying for a baby next Spring and are trying to pack in as much travelling to non resort plasces as possible before having a baby….Any suggestions on travelling in winter?
