I wouldn't say anything about still wanting gifts. I would just say that you had a great time, the highlights were xxx, and you got to stay an extra 4 days! If they want to contribute they'll just do it.
I would take down the registry now that the wedding's over, especially since the honeymoon already happened. If someone wants to send you money now, they can send you a check.

Hi everyone!
We created a small registry at Crate & Barrell and a very extensive honeymoon registry at TravelersJoy.com. We had an amazing wedding on 10/2/10 and a fabulous honeymoon from 10/6 to 10/16. The C&B registry was filled and the Travelers Joy honeymoon registry still has a few items left on it...but we have already been on our honeymoon!
A gift notification from Traveler's Joy came in today. A friend gave a gift to the general honeymoon fund...we could definitely use it! I am guessing that there may be other friends and family who plan on giving gifts (they have up to one year, right?)
Do you have any suggestions on wording for our registry, now that the trip is over? I am thinking that we should update it to say that we had a great time and would very much appreciate gifts toward supporting our unexpected extention of the trip (an extra 4 days!), but I am having a hard time finding the right words.
BTW - Anyone who is thinking about doing a honeymoon fund - do it! I highly recommend it and really liked Traveler's Joy.
