I am hoping to hear from any almost-marrieds and newlyweds on how well your honeymoon registry went over with guests. Did they actually use the website or just give you cash? Did you hear any complaints from people about how it was difficult to use? Did you have anyone tell you that they thought it was tacky?

Any feedback you have would be much appreciated :)

We have a honeymoon registry on honeyfund and I love it. We're both encores, so this was a perfect alternative for us since I own my house and we are combining households. People have used it quite a bit-our lodging is totally paid for! Several other things too-guests log onto your site, look over your registry and choose what they want to give you. There are payment options-cash, check-which go directly to you, or you can set up a PayPal-which goes to the bank account you specify. The guest prints out a certificate from the site to enclose with their payment at your shower or wedding.

We've had two showers and this past Sunday, at my bridal shower thrown by some ladies at church, we got some theme presents-which I thought was great! We got a gift bag with some golf items in it (and the bag was green) and honeyfund for miniature golf & lunch. We also got a bottle of wine with a honeyfund for a winery tour (which is free, but the bottle we'd like to purchase there is not) and also a dinner coupon with it. Nice gifts!

Since we're on a major budget, the honeymoon registry is going to enable us to do some things that we weren't originally going to do because of cost. We choose the Smokies bc it is driving distance, it's peak leaf season, we got a great deal & were able to rent a cabin so we can get groceries and disappear up into the mountains for a full week-now, we are also adding a couple of nice activities to our plans.

I highly recommend a honeymoon registry! Honeyfund is also one of the honeymoon registries that does not charge you anything to list on their site.
