(Closed) Honeymoon savings

@JLA2013:  Never used it. There are some sites like this that take a percentage or fee which I don’t like so just double check. 

Im not the best judge of how these things go over because I always give cash, but I think if you don’t want lots of “things” just not registering for much and spreading the cash idea by word of mouh is most effective. If I ever did buy something off a honeyfund I would fully expect the couPle to actually do the thing I bought so be prepared for follow up questions and be careful not to over schedule yourself.

We used the Honeyfund in addition to a regular registry just as another option. We did not, however, itemize things for people to “buy”. We simply gave a description of our honeymoon plans and left it open with the idea that if guests wished to “donate” to our honeymoon expenses we would gladly accept that as their gift. We did make sure that any gift given through the Honeyfund was used for honeymoon expenses as opposed to other monetary gifts which may have been used for anything or put into savings.
