@Beachy0404:  Those all sound good although I’ve heard from multiple sources that the all inclusives in Aruba aren’t really worth the money.  Friends of mine who’ve done it have all said that the food on the resorts isn’t very good, and there are a lot of good off-site restaurants that are better, so they wound up spending extra money anyway to eat off of the resort.

You didn’t mention anything about Mexico, but Riviera Maya is awesome.  The beaches are beautiful and there are plenty of AI options.  There’s also tons to do, like cenotes and swimming with turtles.  I was there once before and stayed at the Iberostar and absolutely loved it.  FI and I are going back for our honeymoon but are staying at Secrets Maroma.  The place gets wonderful reviews.

@Beachy0404:  Such a Bummer!!! I can’t believe they let you know this last minute!! 2 months away is no much time for most couples! We are staying at a Sandals in St. Lucia for ours (la Toc). Not sure where you are traveling from but I know Jet Blue flies there from New York.

That sucks! I loved Belize, and so did FI. We stayed on one of the Cayes

We’re going to Excllence  Playa Mujeres. It’s adults only, all inclusive, and we have our own private rooftop pool. It has really great reviews too.

@Beachy0404:  We heard about that also! We currently have a private car service reserved for transfers since it comes with the room we booked. People say its 100 times better than riding in the bus. If you have a private transfer they will also stop at places for you to sight see/take pics if you would like. We are also concidering taking the helicopter ride to and from the airport to avoid it completely. My friends that just got back from there said they ride was the only bad thing of thier own trip! otherwise they said it was AMAZING!

@Beachy0404:  Pelican on South Water Caye. I would recommend it if you love snorkeling, but it’s a huge budget buster. 3 meals per day and non-alcholic beverages are included, but you pay for alcohol and are somewhat limited with the food, like, one entree per person, seconds on sides only. We found the food to be very good though. The other issue is that it’s 14 miles off the coast, so you need to pay for boat transportation. In your case, I’d recommend something either closer to shore or on a different Caye since you want a more luxury resort vibe. For example, you can fly to Sand Pedro, Ambergris Caye, since it’s larger. It also has more to do. We were only there for a long weekend while I was working in Guatemala, but it might have gotten boring after a week or so. San Pedro will have more of a nighlife and more varied activities.

@Beachy0404:  FI and I are going to Sandals St Lucia! We’ve heard from quite a few people how nice it is. We’re going to take a helicopter from the airport to the resort 🙂 Consider that option

@CatieMack:  Sadly, we’re not heading to St Lucia until April 5th. I wish I could escape this crap weather.
