We discussed it being a surprise. I would have loved it as a surprise but we did finally decide it was something we would do together.
Mine is a total surprise!!! Except over the weekend we had my shower and my BMs kept asking him for hints so he told them that it is a place where the bachelor has been. Well my freaking friend told me that yesterday so now I am trying to think of everywhere they have been! I am leaning twds Anguilla..... He said that the bachelor has been on for a long time and that it could be from any season though. I just dont know! I just know that it will be beachy and warm and out of the country!
FI asked me what I'd like and planned and PAID for it, and then told me where we're going!!! And I love it!!! A full week at Sandals Grande Riviera in Ocho Rios, Jamaica MON!!!
Mine was supposed to be a surprise! But I'm sherlock holmes when it comes to surprises. However, this time I tried my hardest not to find out anything! The only things I got to know were: what the room looked like, the time of the flights, and the beachfront-ness of the location. I wanted to make sure that the flights and room were respectable!
But then I found out one day after he'd paid for it. So, it was still somewhat a success!
I'm way too much of a control freak to let him do something like that. =\ I came up with places I'd like to go or wouldn't mind going for the next vacation/honeymoon, and then we decided on the best place to go.
hah I wish!!! I am suprizing my fi!!! We can't afford an actual honeymoon, So were having a minimoon at a hotel near the town were getting married in. My parents are babysitting and I am suprizing fi with having his fav. movies/ video games/ ps3 hooked up in the room. And I am picking a hotel with a huge pool and large gym area since fi loves working out :D
Yep, mine is a complete suprise. He paid for it all also. All I know is that the flight to leave is at 5:50 in the morning after our reception, so it looks like there will be no sleeping for us! I'm sure we can find other things to do to keep occupied ;-). I also know that we are going out of the country, our passports came in last week!! Oh and that it's all inclusive!
@Mrs.duck: I LOVE that you are planning it and keeping it a surprise! Fun stuff :)
I'm surprised no FI is making their friends pack for them! My roommate two years ago had to get her mom to pack for her, it was hilarious... it was also killing her! And it was fun for me when they finally put up pictures and announced... St. Lucia :)
My FI planned the whole thing and it's sort of a surprise. I know what we're doing and most of the cities we're going to (we're driving up the California coast), but I don't know every hotel he booked or anything else he arranged. I was happy to pass that over to him and it'll be fun to have little surprises along the way (I hope) :D
My FI has everything planned & booked. I know it requires my passport, our flight leaves at 6 a.m. the day after our wedding & we won't arrive at our destination until 2:00 in the afternoon. It's all inclusive but not a hotel.
He was planing on taking me to Greece but his mom spilled the beans so he had to change the destination. He said he'll take me to Greece for our 5 year anniversiary 
ETA: And he told me that he would tell me how to pack when it was time but I had to wait to find out our destination until we are actually at the airport.
There is no way I could have let DH plan the honeymoon, for alot of reasons. 1) I'm a PLANNER...I love/live/breathe planning. Making it a surprise would take out the biggest part of the fun for me. 2) DH does not know how to bargain/deal shop. He probably would have booked our trip without asking for a military discount...which saved us $600. 3) DH is smart enough to know that to surprise me is never a good thing. I hate surprises. lol
@kperry3: I am very happy with being in charge of it lol, I dont do well with suprizes lol

Ok Bees,
I have heard that some grooms like the surprise their brides with the honeymoon. Aka, they plan where y'all are going and give little to no details until you get on the airplane (or car). How many of you have surprise honeymoons? If so, how do you feel about it? Are you just so excited?!
I know where we're going, and I'm helping pay for it. We'll be at Sandals Jamaica! But sometimes I long for the excitement of not knowing. Then again, at least I know what to pack :)
