We're getting married in July, but part of our honeymoon will be in August. We're going to England and Wales.
We're risking the weather too and going to St. Lucia at the end of August... I hope it's okay!!!!
We thought about St. Lucia, but were worried about the weather. We opted with Mexico (although now with the flu going around - might change), Palace Resorts near Playa del Carmen. It may still have the weather issues, but I guess that's what the insurance is for.

IA Snowflake, I'm honeymooning at Palace Resorts in Cancun! I am so excited. The resorts look absolutely gorgeous, and I love that we can go on tours of Mayan ruins as part of our stay.
We are risking the hurricanes and going to St. Thomas in August. I actually just booked our trip for five nights at the Marriott there. I can't wait!
We aren't going on our honeymoon until August. We are going on a cruise through the Mediterranean, with stops in Italy, Croatia, Greece, France, Monaco, and Spain. I know it is going to be sweltering hot and crowded, but August was the best time for us to go. I'm pretty sure I am more excited for the honeymoon than I am for the wedding!

Ooh so happy to see another St. Lucia person for August!! I hope we're good with the weather!!
We are going to St. Lucia but not until a few months after our wedding - I have had so much anxiety that I just can't handle worrying about the weather and wondering if we made the right decision. FI just wanted to buy travel insurance but I figure we can just take mini-moon for 4 days after our wedding up north and then wait until it's winter in WI and go to St. Lucia then! Best of both?!
We are going to Aruba for our honeymoon. We found a wonderful all-inclusive resort, and it's out of the hurricane belt so we won't be worrying too much about the weather!
ehh5000, We'll actually be in Riveria Maya at the Aventure Spa Palace. I think one of the excursions is Mayan Ruins too. When are you and your FH going? We arrive the 1st of September.
IA Snowflake - Aventura Spa Palace is supposed to be great! My godparents have stayed there before and they love it. We are staying at Sun Palace, and we arrive on August 9th. Can't wait!!!
We are going to St. Lucia in mid-August and can't wait. We're willing to take our chances with Mother Nature!
8/9 wedding, and we're taking a Princess cruise to the Carribean, leaving out of NYC on the 13th.
We're leaving for the southern coast of Spain (Malaga and Marbella) on August 24. We're catching the very end of peak season, but hotel rates were relatively decent - recession pricing, probably.
