I have a friend who I have become extremely close with. We met after I got engaged, and after I picked my maids.
I’ve thought about making her a bridesmaid, but I think there’s a possibility this could be difficult for her (she’s trying to get pregnant right now and my wedding is in 6 months) and the dress I picked has been discontinued.
Anyway, I want to figure out some way to honor her and say thanks. Maybe something in the program, that could address a few different people. Or something else?
Other ideas? Thanks!

Will there be any readings in your ceremony? We are asking FI’s cousins to do some of the readings… It’s still an honor, and a good way to be involved in the ceremony.

Could you ask her to be your personal attendant? In the midwest – or at least where I’m from – usually the bride has a personal attendant who is a close friend and there to help out with little stuff. Sort of like a DOC but your friend. She’s there in the morning to help you get ready and hang out, calm you down and just help with whatever needs doing. She is usually recognized in the program, wears a corsage but her own dress etc.
