So Our mothers both ave potentionlly fatal health problems. His mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in July this past year and my mother was diagnosed with sarcoidosis back in 2005. Everyone is expecting us to do something in honor of his mother and we decided that I will be getting a pink boouquet and presenting it to her with a note that says I will be donating my dress to the pink envelope project. For anyone that doesn’t know the pink envelope project is a breast cancer fundraising thing here is a link for anyone that would like to check it out or learn more about it http://bridesagainstbreastcancer.org/ . But I feel my mother is being left out. So I know not many people know what sarcoidosis is, it is an inflamitory diesease that can be potantially fatal and in my mothers case affects the lungs (and can affect other organs too such as the heart liver and kidneys. you can learn more about it here http://www.stopsarcoidosis.org/sarcoidosis/diseasefacts.htm ) Now My mother is purchasing the dress that is being donated, and I want to do some grand gesture for my mother just like we are doing for his, but aside from just sending a donaton I just don’t know what to do. There are K.I.S.S. (Kick In to Stop Sarcoidosis) braclets that I can order and hand out but I just don’t feel it’s as big as donating my own wedding dress! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ladies!
