My Fi and I are paying for the wedding ourselves, but we wrote it as "Together with their parents Bride and Groom request . . ."  I think if you are going to honor one set of parents, you might want to honor both (since neither is "hosting" precisely).

Oh sorry! I didn’t know it would do that!

    Here it is again:

    Kendra Middle Last

    and

    James Middle Last

    Together with their parents

    Ronald and Ellen Last

    and

    James and Lauir Last

    Invite you to join them

    as they say "I Do."

Will you list your Fi’s parents as well?  I don’t think it will look odd or anything, but it might take up some extra room.  Of course, if your invitations are big enough, you won’t have to worry about that.  🙂  We worded it this way:

    Together with their familes

    Mrs. Spring and Mr. Spring

Request the honour of your presence…

We didn’t put their names on at all due to limited space. I don’t think they noticed or cared.

yep, i think i’ll word it like Mrs.Spring did. My parents (not sure about FI’s parents) would feel left out if i didn’t.

We, like Mrs. Spring, worded ours "Together with their families," it includes everyone- including those family members that will be doing a lot of the gruntwork getting ready for the big day! We felt that this day was not just for us, but for all of our loved ones to be included & to enjoy.

    Ours said:

    Mr. and Mrs. Bride’s Parents
    and
    Mr. and Mrs. Groom’s Parents
invite you to witness the vows
    that will join their families
    as their children
    Bride
    and
    Groom
    are united in marriage
    on Sunday…

    This way we honored both.
