Holds love letters to my future husband, poems, his poems, dorky and old photos, and lots of memories in this box…and it managed to sneak in our e-shoot! 😉
My ancient white rose corsage from a high school dance we went to! I still remember how pretty it was and how good it smelt.
Does anyone else have a ‘hope box’ or something similar? I know they’re not that common, but just thought I’d share because it’s a very sentimental and precious item to me!
~I have written love letters and prayers for my future husband years before I met him, and I’m still holding onto them until our wedding night! I have forgotten much of what I’ve written, but am looking forward to the expression on his face when he reads them all. My fiance recently revealed to me that he is writing me love letters and “something special” to read once we’re married…and I always hoped he’d write me back…*blush* We can hardly wait until that day comes.
I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my ultimate love, hero, best friend, deepest confidant and fellow dreamer.

I have a “memory box” that I started just recently…right after I graduated and we got engaged. I got a lot of nice graduation/engagement/birthday cards (all 3 things happened within 1 week of each other!) and also put my graduation cords/tassles, my ring box, the wine menu from the day we went to see our venue for the first time, wine/champagne corks from engagement/graduation celebration dinners/lunches/etc., random paper and other ephemera like that that I want to keep. I’m going to keep adding to it through the year we’re engaged and I’m sure it will be so fun to go back through years down the line and remember what an awesome time this was in my life.
I’m very sentimental about objects so having all of these things in one safe place, like a pretty box, only makes sense for me! If I could I’d take a picture of mine to show you, but we just moved and I am not sure which moving box it’s in haha.

@Kant: That’s amazing! And very special! Would love to see it–yet I understand the business and craziness of a move. My camera goes missing almost every week or so on a normal basis, ha. My mom kept a huge, clear plastic tub of old photos, letters, her old license and college card, highschool yearbook (often forget my parents were young like me once), our baby phots, etc…it was so neat to look through and we had a good laugh about everything. I can’t wait to show my children and even grand-children all of our memories and sentimentals! Some things seem so ordinary right now, but after a while they begin to mean so much more.
Congrats to you and your dearest & best wishes!
