I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks the first week of August. We left for the wedding/honeymoon the day after my doctor’s appointment that confirmed the MC. He didn’t say anything to us about using protection to make sure we didn’t get pregnant again (he knew we were leaving for the wedding/honeymoon, although I did know many doctors say to wait a month Before TTc again)
I had my follow up appointment last Monday and he asks when we will start trying again. I say as soon as he tells me I can. He then explains why I DON’T want to get pregnant on my MC cycle – the lining might not be think enough to support an embryo and then I’ll have another MC and be back in the same boat.
But it was our honeymoon!! We were, not shockingly, pretty active. Andnow I’m massively symptom spotting and slightly freaking out that I will be KU and then have another MC! I wasn’t temping while we were traveling so I have no idea what my O date was. my cycles so far have ranged from 25-29 days. I’m currently on CD27
Symptoms (and the logical explaination behind them) – my nipples have been sore (but they have done this before during my cycle, usually just after O, although it hasn’t happened in a few months). I’ve been exhausted all week (I’m a teacher and this was our first week back). I’ve got a stuffy, runny nose (I’m a teacher and this was our first week back 🙂 dust, kids, probably some mold, all that fun stuff).
So thoughts?? Should I worry? Anyone get a BFP during a MC cycle and have it be ok??

Your Doctor should not have said that to you after NOT telling you to prevent. All he has done is worry you. I’m really sorry about your miscarriage. There are many many women who have gotten pregnant again on the next cycle and went on to have healthy babies. I wish you the best!

Not my experience but I’ve seen a fee bees on here get a BFP the cycle after and everything turned out just fine.
If that baby is meant to be it will stick. FX for a sticky baby!

It’s not true about the lining. I miscarried in June and my doctor let me know it was fine as soon as I stopped bleeding to start trying again. There are new studies that show that getting pregnant within six months After a miscarriage Actually decreases your chances of miscarrying.
The lining of your uterus is shed every month with your period. It only taketether regular two weeks to build up again.
Dont worry. If it’s a sticky baby it will stick though anything!

Well I miscarried in early July and was pregnant again by the end of July. 8w 2d and so far everything seems fantastic. I wouldn’t sweat it. Chances are things are fine. I was reading the only reason the say to wait with early mc is bc dating can be harder. Best wishes.

i did see the doctor Monday 8/26 and he did a blood draw. My HcG was 0 that day. That was CD20.
PI figure if AF doesn’t show up by this weekend, I’ll test And see whats going on
