I am sitting here this Sunday morning worrying myself sick… Two weeks ago my company sent me out of state to start a certification process. As a part of the certification process, I needed to submit quizzes two weeks after the conference ended.
While I was on the road, I ended up getting REALLY sick. I could barely make it to the classes and then had to endure an awful flight home. I was pretty much non-functional for the following 5 days after I got home. After that, I spent many days trying to play catch up on top of which I had a major project deadline looming.
On our printed materials, it said that the quizzes were due by Friday, April 15th but on Monday of this past week I got an email that said quizzes needed to be submitted by Sunday, April 17th. I kept this in the back of my head, but planned to turn the quizzes in on Friday. Then Friday morning, we lost about half our roof to the storms that moved through the midwest this weekend. So much of the day Friday was spent trying to get our roof tarped to prevent water damage as the storms moved through and working with the insurance adjuster. Around 4 p.m. on Friday I got another email saying “quizzes needed to be turned in by Sunday, April 17th.”
With everything else going on with the roof/storms, I didn’t get the quizzes in on Friday and went to login yesterday (Saturday) to turn them in. When I logged in, it told me my login has expired.
I have emailed and left voice messages for the certification coordinator explaining that I had received two emails from her saying the deadline was Sunday, but I am worried they are not going to let me turn in the quizzes.
What do you think? I know I shouldn’t have waiting until the last second, bottom line is I am stretched too thin right now and this was a huge wake up call to that. Any other advice??
