Im sure a lot of you out there who have been bridesmaids before have ended up wearing some ugly dresses. well heres your chance to vent your ugly dress horror stories!
I was in my friends wedding a few years ago and when she first got engaged, me and her sister drove out to see her (she lived in MN with the MOH) and we all went dress shopping. We ended up finding this beautiful bridesmaid dress we all loved and looked great on everyone. it was long which i liked cause i dont have the greatest looking legs and it was very slimming looking and sexy. She had already picked black and red as her colors. we all got measured, but they hadnt set the date yet so she wanted to wait till it was closer before we ordered just in case our sizes chaged or something. in the meantime she tells us go out and get our own red jewlery to go with it. so when they finally set the date me and her sister were all ready to get the red and black dress. The bride up and tells us nope go to davids bridal, the MOH already ordered her dress in black and heres the style number! neither of us had ever seen this dress, had no idea that she was even looking at other dresses, and had already gotte our jewelry which we appartently no longer needed cause these would be all black! we were both pissed!!! so i go to see this new dress and order mine. it was horrible!!! first it was short which i really didnt want to show off my legs but that was livable. but this was really short! like if i lifted my arms or bent over my butt would be hanging out!! the picture shows it past your knees but being plus size, even in my size it was too short! plus it was a weird very stiff itchy almost taffeta material that was very uncomfortable. the top was extremely low cut im very big busted so i was falling out of it like crazy. there was nothing but a tiny string holding it together in front so that popped right away and i had to pin it shut. the brides sister looked horrible too. she is really thin and flat chested she had nothing to fill the top and the dress was just bagging off her. the only one that did look good was the MOH. i spent most of the wedding day hiking my top up to keep my boobs in and trying to hold down my skirt to keep my butt in. it was a horrible dress decision. i could hardly move my arms because of the goofy straps. i really wish she would have stuck with that first dress. i even considered going back to that for my wedding but my girls were very picky about what they wanted. there all very happy with their dress i picked for them.
