@missjyc: That is SO horrible! I cannot believe someone would do this to another human being. People are TERRIBLE.....
while it is rude, why would you want to get married in a language you didn't understand? This is like those people who get the japanese/chinese characters tattooed on their bodies thinking it means one thing and it's really another.
@Miss Tattoo: lol. I love how you incorporate tattoo's into it considering your name!
If that were to happen to me and I had paid for it I would be demanding something in return! I would not put up with someone doing that to me. I'm glad I only ever planned on getting married in my own language!
Exactly why I'm not getting married anywhere in another language or where there would be a language barrier. Maybe I'm negative, but I'm not at all surprised by this story.
I would demand some major bank for such humiliation. It's all good till it hits youtube! lol
No but seriously, that is horrible. I can't believe someone would be so hateful :/
It was rude...but I don't get having a wedding ceremony done in a language neither the bride or the groom understand. Recipe for disaster...or in this case...insults.
I also don't get the ceremony in a language you don't understand. That seems really weird to me. I don't think it was a nice thing for them to do, of course, but somehow, I'm not outraged because of that.
Does it scare any one that there were two people arrested? Yes, the people who did it were assholes, but lets hope they don't get killed over this! In lots of small countries, tourism is king and if you mess with the tourists, bas things can happen to you bc you are messing with a large part of the economy...
So...anyone else think the two people arrested are going to mysteriously "disappear?"
@Leeluu: Awe, that sucks. They are goners. They will probably be stoned in the night.
Yeah this was incredibly rude and unnecessary. I do hope no harsh punishment will be administered though.
Unless I read it wrong, it seems like the "prayer" was the only thing spoken in the foreign language. I've witnessed Jewish weddings where the rabbi prayed in a foreign language and the couple had no idea what the hell he was saying. It's quite common for weddings taking place overseas to include a prayer in the countries native tongue. Anywho, this "officient" gets the DB of the year award!
