We will not be doing a hospital walk through as we are very familiar with the hospital already, however I am supposed to submit my paperwork to the hospital when I am 28 weeks for pre-registration.

I planned on it, but ended up seeing a lot more of the hospital than I planned, starting at 23 weeks when I got admitted for complications.

I would recommend getting familiar with the place though! I know once I did give birth, I knew the place so well that it didn’t feel weird at all being there..lol

my hospital preregistered me as soon as i started seeing my OB.  and the hospital tour is incorporated into my prenatal classes which i am starting in 2 weeks.  So i will be 32 -34 weeks pregnant when i see it.

We preregistered at 31 weeks, but a tour wasn’t included. We just had the tour with our childbirth class at 36 weeks (today actually!), but we could’ve scheduled a seperate tour at any other time. I feel ok about waiting until now to tour. If I had had preterm labor I probably wouldn’t care if I new the layout of the birth center & now it’ll be fresh in my mind when the day comes!

i haven’t done a walkthrough yet, but will be in order to pre-register/familiarize myself. i’m only 20w, but DH is starting school FT next week and will be gone M-F for the next 4 months, so i’m going to take any dates that work for us. It looks like we’ll be doing it in the 31w range though, so i think you should be good to do it whenever you want!

I was like 34 weeks, I think.  I think between 30-36 weeks is just about perfect!

I moved at almost 38 weeks pregnant but we had taken childbirth classes that included a tour of the hospital at around 32 weeks or so.  I didn’t get to tour the hospital I actually gave birth at but my doctor was helpful at my prenatal appointments with describing where to go and the nurses were helpful during my stay.  I’d say around 32 weeks is a good time though, I know it made me excited to see everything.
