Has anyone ever been to a wedding where this was offered between a ceremony and reception? I can understand how it would be nice, but would people really use it? FILs want it and have offered to pay. If any Bees have had one/been to one, how were you informed? What was the set up? I have never heard of this until recently…please help!

I had attended a wedding that had a hospitality suite. Many of their guests were flying in the day before from out of town so they had arranged a hospitality suite during cocktail hour just before their rehearsal dinner for traveling guests to mingle and get their bearings. I missed it but heard from those who made it on time that is was useful and a good way to spend time with the bride & groom outside of the wedding. Plus because the bride & groom got to see their traveling guests before the wedding, they didn’t feel compelled to invite them to the rehearsal dinner which was reserved for the bridal party and family.
I had never heard of one between the ceremony and reception.

@baldor1: Thanks…glad to hear I wasn’t the only one who hadn’t heard of these…but to clarify, we won’t be spending time there – it will just be for our guests, which was one of my concerns – who/how opens/runs this room?
I can see how it would still be nice for out of town guests, as you said.

I was just at one last night actually! My friend’s parents had one set up but it wasn’t for all guests, just for immediate family, bridal party, and close friends. We didn’t go up there at all during the wedding but afterwards we all went there for some drinks and snacks before heading to the after party. It was kind of nice to have a place to regroup.
