I’ve honestly never heard of this! I’m having two showers, a couples shower thrown by my Maid of Honor and another one thrown by a member of FIs extended family. Am I supposed to get them a gift for hosting the shower? I grew up in a home where ettiquette was NOT practiced in the slightest.

yes a gift is nice to give to them for doing the party. i gave my bms a gift box themed with things they like–paradise box–a spa giftcard, scentsy beach/paradise scents,a carrbean escape candle, ring pop. stanfords box–gift card, berry chocolate and berry spread(she gets the triple berry cobbler dessert) and a ring pop. a coffee box–gift card, coffee mug and chocolate covered esspresso beans and ring pop, apple bee box- apple bee gift card, apple candle, burts bee honey scrub and ring pop
i gave these to the ladies after all my guests left the shower.

Our wedding shower was hosted by our mothers. I sent them flowers the week after as a thank you.

I had never heard of this either. My bm is planning on hosting my shower and I hadn’t even thought of this.

I don’t know what is traditional – but I would give a gift as a thank you. It don’t think it has to be expensive – just something to show that you know they went out of their way for you. Maybe something like this?
