I gave monogrammed aprons for one of my hostess gifts. They have them at bedbathandbeyond.com
You can never go wrong with a spa gift certificate, even a mani/pedi would be nice, we all need one of those
(Long story but,) my mom threw my shower and my aunt helped out with it a lot. So, I got them both really pretty potted houseplants and a pretty "thank you" card.
I think it really depends on how much you have to spend. For me, with three weeks until the wedding (!!!) it had to be something reasonable.
Thanks for all of the suggestions! I think I will do a nice potted plant - perfect for this time of the year.

Some of my FMIL's friends are throwing me a shower but I don't know what to get them for a hostess gift. I don't know them very well so it's hard to think of anything specific to their personalities. What unique shower gifts have you seen given to the hostesses'?
