We didn’t do a tea party but we all wore hats and sundresses. This is how I worded it on the invite:
<Bride’s> GETTING MARRIED!!!
So put on your favorite sundress and your baddest hat and join us for food, fun, and games as we celebrate the upcoming wedding of <bride and groom>.
That way I gave them the dress code without being a Bee about it.

My bridal party threw me a tea party shower and the whole invitation rhymed and said something like:
“Make sure to wear your best hat,
Mrs. Zapper will too, we’ve taken care of that!”
The invite had a bride whose features resembled mine, sitting at a table with tea pots/cups, cupcakes, etc. Super cute if you want me to send you the site they got them from, or if you need any favor/ prize info I can tell ya what my girls did. Such a great theme for a shower…loved it! 🙂

A sprinkle of flowers
And a couple of kisses
Soon (Groom’s name) and (Bride’s name
Will be Mr. And Mrs
But as we wait for that special hour
Let’s honor (Bride’ s name )with a Bridal Shower.
It`s Tea Time!
A spot of tea
to sip and see
the radiant smile
of the bride-to-be!
Wear a pretty dress
and your fanciest hat
there will be smiles and laughter
and lots of fun chat!
