We are doing mason jars full of homemade carmel popcorn along with some bottles of water. Simple, easy and inexpensive!! Add a customizable label and you’re good to go!!

If you want a Chicago theme, you could buy little boxes of Frango chocolates at the Macys on State Street (they’re about $3.50 each, but you can buy ones that say Chicago on them). Garrett’s popcorn? Chicago postcards?

If you’re looking to do things on the super cheap, you could bake some cookies, and put a label on the cookie wrappers  that say, “baked with love by ___.” Throw in some chips, a bottled water, a local map and call it a day ๐Ÿ™‚

We only had potato chips (the town where we got  married supposedly was the birth place of potato chips), water, maps and a personalized note of thanks/itinerary in ours. People loved them anyway.

We used chocolate brown bags which was one of our wedding colors.  Inside we put:

*2 bottles of water

*Our fave mini candy–peanutbutter cups and peppermint patties

*2 small bags of carmel corn from the local popcorn place.

We also included a personal thank you note to show our appreciation for our guests that traveled to Michigan for the wedding.  Our wedding planner also customized the bottled water labels with our names and wedding date.  An easy fix with a computer and colored printer.  They turned out great!
