Can you let me know where you are booking your hotel blocks in Center City.
- How many hotels are you booking?
- How far advance did you/are you booking?
- If you don’t mind sharing, are you getting a rate less than $250 a night for your main hotel?
Thanks a bunch!

We booked at two hotels. They’re both under $250/night. Just a word to the wise–check the convention schedule with the PCVB to see if there are any big conventions in town (or graduations or huge sporting events like the Army/Navy game or Penn Relays) on your wedding weekend. If there are, run–don’t walk–to the phones!!! We were nearly thwarted by a citywide convention of nephrologists who are apparently going to fill every single hotel in Center City the weekend of 11/8/08!

We booked two hotels and both were less than $250 per night. I booked them more than a year in advance. Good thing too, as it turns out our wedding is the same weekend as the Penn Relays!

We’ve blocked rooms at one hotel, for less that $250 a night, and its around the corner from our venue. We’re a year out… and some places were already saying they were full!

What ever you do, DO NOT USE hotelweddingblocks.com as I have never experienced such terrible customer service like this ever before. After being in email contact with 2 different consultants, neither one got back to me with hotel/price options. I sent several more emails that were ignored. I waited 2 months- calling multiple times and leaving a few voicemails, until I finally got a ahold of one of the consultants via email. She stated that she did not find any options in my price range. No further explanation or options given. Of course when emailed back for further help with an expanded budget I got no reply. Complete waste of my time.
