I thought of that one, but I actually want something a little closer to the shoreline (and a little further from home).
I worked across the street from the Doubletree in Norwalk. Great staff and blank slate for any event. If you are looking to enjoy the beach before or after, it is a little distant. If it is during the peak summer month, the beach requires a parking pass. I am not sure if or what the costs are for out of towners.
As for the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport, I don't have anything to say about the hotel but if you are looking to enjoy the beach at Seaside park it can get really packed in the warmer months. Seaside also has a parking fee during the peak summer months.
If you are looking for Fairfield County - The Delmar in Fairfield or Greenwich, or the Hilton in Stamford.
Good luck!

Hi all! Well, in my preliminary pre-planning stages (oh yeah, I'm that far along...) we have decided that we want a venue that is in a hotel to minimize transportation and encourage our guests staying over and enjoying the weekend, somewhere along the CT coast so that we can enjoy the beach before/afer the festivities. I am thinking of the Doubletree Norwalk, Hilton Garden Inn Milford, or Holiday Inn Bridgeport, and maybe the Westport Inn (but I have read mixed reviews on that one).
Any experience at any of these hotels and/or their event venues? (Or hotel chain weddings in general...) I would love to hear your feedback and see pictures!
