The Westin, Hilton Garden Inn - Uptown and Charlotte Marriott Center City are a few that are in the downtown area.
I will second JamaicaBride for the hotel suggestions (if I think of anymore, I will pass them along), I'm from Charlotte and will be getting married there, too!!

So I don't live in Charlotte but I am getting married there at the Morehead Inn in Dilworth. The wedding has grown and I need to get rooms at a nearby hotel. It is a panther weekend in Oct so it is getting hard to block rooms. I looked at the Blake and the Crowne Plaza on McDowell and the Blake got really bad reviews so we took it off the list. My parents were able to get a block at the Crowne Plaza but I am worried. It doesn't look that great on the internet. Anyone stayed there or have suggestions in the area? Please I am dying for some help. I haven't seen any of these places in person but will be back visiting my parents next weekend so if there is a narrow list I can go and check them out.
