@yehyehgirl:  If you can afford it I would suggest two rooms for both Fri and Sat (that is if you are planning on spending the night before in different rooms… if not, just book 2 for saturday and ask for an early check-in). My DH and I just booked one hotel room for the entire time and we actually didn’t even realize the problem until we thought about getting ready. DH had to take all his stuff to his firends’ hotel room so there ended up being 4 guys getting ready in one tiny hotel room… not good.

@yehyehgirl:  We are having 2 rooms Friday and one room saturday. My FI will stay in the honeymoon suite by himself friday night and I will just put all of my stuff I don’t need for the wedding day in that room friday afternoon before we go off to the rehearsal. I will have a seperate overnight bag for friday and stay in a room with my bridesmaids and then one of them will take over the overnight bag and anything I don’t need at the wedding to his room first thing in the morning. Then after the wedding we can both head back to the honeymoon suite and all of our stuff will be there!

@yehyehgirl:  we are booking a two bedroom suite for the entire time we are there ( includes two nights before wedding and one night after the wedding). We booked our entire bridal party  at the same hotel ,so the plan is that the groom will get ready with his groomsmen in one of the groomsmen rooms, and all my bridesmaids will get ready with me in our two bedroom suite. Alternatively, FI will stay in the suite and get ready with the guys, and I will go to my mom’s two bedroom suite to get ready with my bridesmaids.

We booked two rooms for the night before (one for us, and we are putting his best man in the other suite). In the morning, he will go over to the BM room which becomes guys room, and my MOH gets there and my room becomes the girls get ready room.

@yehyehgirl:  Could you book 2 rooms and allow a special out of town guest to stay in the room the 2nd night?  I’m sure you can arrange with the front desk for his bags to be transferred to the other room or kept behind the desk until you return from the reception.

@yehyehgirl:  Most hotels require you to check out sometime in the morning (usually 10 or 11 am) if you’re not booking the next night (so they have time to clean it for the next guest). So if you both want your own room to get ready, you probably want it past 11 am, so you probably need to book both rooms for Saturday night.

So I suggest booking both rooms for both nights, and someone (the best man?) moves FI’s stuff out, and then gets gifted the room for that night.

@yehyehgirl:  We’re doing two rooms both nights, but the first night I’ll stay in one with two beds with my single maids and while he is alone in the suite. Then sometime during the day I’ll have someone haul my necessities to the suite but leave any big crap in the room with my poor, devouted maids. 🙂

@yehyehgirl:  I don’t think you need to book two rooms Friday night and Saturday night just for him to get ready Saturday morning. My groom and I have 1 room booked for both Friday and Saturday night. We’ll sleep in 1 room on Friday. I’ll stay in the room Saturday morning to get ready with my girls and he’ll just bring his suit to a groomsman’s room or his father’s room to get ready. Then after the wedding we’ll retire to our original room.

@yehyehgirl:  Ah, that really stinks! Is there anyone in the groom’s wedding party that would be staying both Friday and Saturday nights?
