It depends on what part of the island you want to stay....I prefer the Four Seasons in Wailea. I know a few people who liked the Grand Wailea just up the road.
I want to stay on the warmer side of the island..I read somewehre, the one where the Ritz Carlton is located is cooler than the other side of the island. Basically, I want to be on a beach, hide out in the hotel, but still have the option to step outside and check out the "nightlife" if we decide to do so.
@redbullfanatic: The Grand Wailea is amazing.
We always stayed down the beach from it in condos (Elua I think they are called) so we could have multiple bedrooms and a kitchen.
We stayed at The Westin - The Hyatt and a few other hotels are also on that strip - we liked it because we could walk to other hotels to eat and there was also a shopping village there - Our hotel also had a free shuttle to the town of Lahaina which is full of shops and restaurants!
I was told there are no all inclusives but a lot of hotels include things like free breakfast or a certain amount resort credit to use anywhere in the hotel or free nights with x number of nights.
Thanks for the advice, I'm going to keep looking for great deals on the hotel mentioned above!

Ladies & (possible) Gents,
Where is the best place to stay in Maui? Is there an all inclusive resort that I"m not aware of? Looking to splurge but not go bankrupt. ;)
Any recommendations??
Thanks!
