Weddingbee boards

Hello,

   We're getting married in July 2012 at a church in Kearny, NJ (Hudson County) and our reception is going to be at Costa Del Sol in Union, NJ.  Since we have so many guests who will be coming to NJ from other states for the wedding, I'm looking for a hotel in a safe, nice, fun & convenient area, that I can do a room block at for guests to book.  I'd really like for them to be in an area with lots to do, as many of them will be arriving a few days before the wedding, and it would be great for them able to experience the greater NYC area, especially since for many, it will be their first trip to the area.

   Most importantly, I'd like a hotel that is somewhat within 10-15 miles from Kearny, NJ, and convenient to the NY/NJ PATH train system.  Does anyone know of any nice and affordable (less than $150 total per night) hotels in Jersey City, Hoboken or NYC that I can look into doing a room block at?  Thank you!

There's a Hyatt, Westin, Courtyard Marriot and DoubleTree in the Newport/waterfront area of Jersey City - I have no idea of the prices but that would be a fun place to stay for a weekend.

Doubletree is only around $140 a night right now and is close to the PATH!!
