We are thinking about honeymooning in Aruba since that's one of the safer caribbean islands during hurricane season.

Any hotel/resort suggestions or ideas?  Has anyone been there?

Hi beachbrideamy, we stayed at the Tara Beach Suites at the Bucuti Beach Resort last September and loved it-- it's a smaller resort catering mostly to honeymooners, with an absolutely amazing beach. We had a wonderful honeymoon in Aruba and would absolutely recommend it to others!

I've heard great things about the Bucuti resort being perfect for honeymooners, so I'm looking at it for mine too. I know it's not AI but I'm happy with that, so we can eat out. The beach looks awesome.Cool

We've booked Bucutti several times, and people always come home happy.

The Renaissance offers also an all inclusive, and has an adult only section and pool. If you want all inclusive it's a good choice.

I second (third?) Bucuti! It is amazing! Gorgeous rooms and on the best, widest beach. Right next door is the Manchebo. It is not as fancy as Bucuti, but it is nice & a good budget option. It also has a wonderful spa (Spa del Sol) that you can book treatments at no matter where you stay. We had the best massages there while listening to the ocean. *sigh*

Bucuti and Mancebo are both on Eagle Beach, which is the "low rise" hotel area. It is less crowded and offers much less in the way of entertainment. If you like a lot of action (such as water sports and night life) you might prefer to stay on Palm Beach in the "high rise" section. Many of the major chain hotels are on Palm Beach. That said, if you want the best of both worlds, you can always stay on Eagle Beach and take a quick 5-10 min cab ride over to Eagle Beach for water sports and night life. Enjoy! Aruba is the best!!!
