awe excited for the NEW July Mommas!  I was a last July momma and was so excited for the cookouts and all of that fun stuff.  Unfortunately Liv was born on the hottest day on record in NYC (114º!) and it stayed that way for like a month...but you guys have the BEST time for your maternity leave!  I just came back to work, so I got the whole summer and start of fall. =o)

YAYYYYY I was on the Junebugs thread but my Dr.'s office readjusted my due date bc my cycles are longer than 28 days.  I'm due July 5th now!  So I guess that puts me in my 5th week.  Everything is pretty good so far.  I have to eat every few hours or get liightheaded, and my nipples randomly got huge this week!

Hi hi hiiiiii! It's super early over here, since I just got my BFP, but I thought I'd join!!! :) So excited that we will have our little July group! I'm not 100% sure of my due date (I'm 4 weeks), but I did go yesterday for some bloodwork. My HCG (beta) and progesterone numbers look good. I go back Friday morning for another test, and they hope that they at least double within that time.

And I already set up my IOB appointment at 7 weeks, just before Thanksgiving.

PS- Peach, I second your AHHHHHHHHH!

@KellyV: you are so right about leave being at the perfect time.  I am only scared of the massive swelling but if flip flops are the only shoes I can wear the last month or so, good thing it's in summer!

@MrsStrawberry1: YAY for July!! I only have one symptom, a friggin sinus infection. Green goop and everything. :( The sinus pressure is killing me.

@HopingToBeaMama: YAY on your numbers looking good.  I havent gotten my numbers back yet.  I wonder if I should call them?  Yeah Im probably going to be that patient who asks a million questions.

If you want to add your stats! :)

    Date of BFP:

    How far along are you?

    Estimated due date:

    Date of first prenatal appointment:

    How are you feeling?

I was a July Mommie too, but just barely and totally agree with KellyV. Came back to work just in time for the cold to start. I had Moose in December and was stuck inside the whole time because it was so cold.

@panterapeach:My doc is AMAZING at calling back as soon as they get test results. She always returns any questions the same day-- even if she calls back at 8 pm! She also says she always calls with a negative pap (or negative anything), even though most docs only call when something is wrong, because she always wants to follow through. Plus, I chatted with her yesterday (even though I didn't have an appointment with her) and she knows I'm a little nervous since I previously had a MC. So she probably called faster than most docs.

I am supposed to go back after 48 hours to get another blood test. I got my first test done yesterday around 1:30, so I could go back tomorrow at 1:30, but I work about 30 minutes away from my doc office. So I'd have to go during my lunch hour, and it doesn't really make sense. So I'm planning on going on Friday morning, but what sucks about that is that they don't get the lab results until the next business day, so I won't get the results until MONDAY!

But I'm trying to be as relaxed as possible and not freak out. So I think I'll wait until Friday am to get the bloodwork because it is so much more convenient.

Do you have a due date yet? I think mine would be July 11-13, depending on how they measure. I know I Oed early because I was charting, so that would be about July 11th. But if they go by my standard 30 day cycles, that would be July 13th. I guess I'll find out for sure in a few weeks!

@KellyV: Last night, my husband said "You're going to be pregnant in the hotttt summer!" We live in South Florida so its crazy hot here. BUT at this point I am happy to be pregnant any time of year! Plus, it's hard to escape the heat in Florida, so I'll just invest in a lot of cute sundresses and flip flops. And you make a great point about maternity leave! :)

@MrsMaine: Hurry up and join us already!! We'll be waiting for you!!!!!!! :) Hope you get your BFP soon!

    @plantains: Thanks!!!! :)

@TheFutureMcBride: That makes sense! Hopefully we'll be able to get out more since it won't be so cold!

Congrats ladies! My baby girl was born July last year so I feel you!

@HopingToBeaMama: I'm also in FL... and I lived in the pool during my whole 3rd trimester! It was great excersize, and a great way to escape the heat! Look around for a water zumba class. Also, I would walk the mall, petsmart (we like to bring our pup with us everywhere we go), etc. My feet swelled like crazy and I ended up just buying a pair of flip flops a size bigger to wear until after the baby came, but that's just life. Now I'm very happily back to my old shoes :)

Date of BFP: Sometime last week.

How far along are you? approx 5 weeks 1 day

    Estimated due date: July 3rd

Date of first prenatal appointment: Nov. 16th

How are you feeling? Tired, so tired.

Who have you told? No one! Only DH and I know. All my friends are oceans away so it's a lot easier to keep it a secret, but it doesn't help with them knowing we were TTC, so I'm just waiting for someone to ask. I decided to come out here because I don't think I'll ever announce it on FB. In case anything goes wrong, it would just suck to deal with all the stray comments.

It's our first baby and we are over the moon! It took us almost a year and just before I was scheduled for a HSG.

What did I do differently? (added question) I laid on my tummy after - I just found out I have a tilted uterus and read that was the thing to do. We also just bought a CBFM, but got a BFP a day before it arrived! It took us so long to buy one, we joke that it's really the reason we got pregnant this cycle!

@HopingToBeaMama: You will be SO SICK of hearing "youre gonna have a hot summer!"  No sh*t sherlock.  lol.  I swelled badly at the end, but mine was due to pre-preclampsia and my blood pressure.  I lived in flip flops and maxi dresses.  So comfy =o)

    Date of BFP: Oct.23

How far along are you? 5 weeks

Estimated due date:  Based on my long cycles, I'm now due July 5th.

Date of first prenatal appointment:  Nov. 22

How are you feeling? I feel surprisingly fine.  The week before my BFP, I was SO tired and HOT all the time, I had a hunch I might be pregnant.  The week of my BFP I was really lightheaded (because I didn't know what was wrong), but now I've figured out that as long as I'm eating every 2-3 hours, curb the sugar, and eat lots of iron, fat and protein, I feel great.  I've been guzzling water (so thirsty!), been LOVING raw kombucha tea for energy (its my caffeine replacement), and drink a big glass of milk every morning and before bed.  Breakfast is usually 2 eggs, some kind of meat (preferrably beef for iron) at lunch, and usually a big bowl of homemade soup for dinner (again, homemade beef broth).

Who have you told? Only DH and I know!  We are trying really hard to wait until our appointment before we tell anyone.

Hello Ladies! Well I am going to admit that I have been hanging around on these boards for several months, but I am just now getting the courage to join in. I am so excited to be joining the July mommies.  I am still a bit in shock about the whole thing, even though we had been trying and this was completely planned.  I still can't believe I am going to be a mom!!

Date of BFP: Faint BFP on 10/29, at 10 DPO.  Took a Clear Blue Easy Digital on 10/31, to confirm and see the actual word "Pregnant"!!!

How far along are you? Approx 5 weeks

    Estimated due date: July 7

Date of first prenatal appointment: Nov. 18th....seems SO far away!!

How are you feeling? Tired and so sick.  Forcing myself to eat since Saturday.  I never knew the symtoms started this quickly..

Who have you told? My DH told his best friend today, and I have told one friend as well.  We are debating on telling our parents this weekend.  DH thinks maybe we should wait until the 12 week mark.  Part of me definitely agrees, but I am really close with my mom, and I selfishly want her to know.  That being said, we would feel badly if we told my parents and not his....so, we are still discussing. Embarassed

What did I do differently? (added question) This was our fourth month TTC.  I completely thought we missed the mark this month, because my OPK showed positive when my DH was out of town.  I guess I was wrong!

Been worried a little the last few days...For no other reason than that I feel totally normal.  I feel healthy and rested and I haven't been sick and other than getting a little lightheaded if I wait too long to eat, I have almost no symptoms.  My nipples are still huge and a little sore, but I thought I was supposed to feel sicker??  Is it just too soon?

    Anyone else?

@MrsStrawberry1: Don't worry! I actually thinki that early on, you get some symptoms in waves. You feel weird for a few days or have a few symptoms, and then they clear up for a few days. Plus, you might be one of the lucky ones who doesn't get morning sickness!

For example, I was naseaus yesterday morning, but feel fine today!

I know how easy it is to worry, though!!

    @peachbaby4008: Thank you!Laughing

@Dcw6411: Welcome!!! We got our BFPs right around the same time! (I got faint +s on 10/27- 9 DPO and 10/28- 10 DPO, but got a real positive on 10/29 at 11 DPO. And I took a clear blue digital on 10/30 at 12 DPO just to see the words PREGNANT!). I think I'm due July 11-13. Your first appointment is a few days before mine so you'll have to share your details!!

@Vitsippa: CONGRATS! Your 1st appointment is also right before mine, so you'll have to tell me how it goes!

@chastenet: I hope you join us as well!!!

@artbee: You are so right about the pool. I'm actually considering getting a cover for our pool because I have a feeling I'll want to be in it over the winter and early spring, when the water is a little chilly!

Come onnnn July mamas!  I'm waiting on those BFPs!

I'm having some brown spotting today when I wipe.  Everyone tells me its normal, but I also have a little cramping today, so its making a wee bit nervous.  Feeling great otherwise.  I think my massive bloat from last week has gone away, and I feel a little slimmer (which is adding to the whole "I don't feel pregnant" thing.)

    Anyone else?

@MrsStrawberry1: I didn't start getting sick EVERY day until around week 8 - don't worry, you may not even get sick at all! I also had cramping and brown spotting all the way up until 14 weeks. Brown spotting = old blood = nothing to worry about. It's when it's bright red and clotty (is that a word?) that you should make an appointment just to make sure everything's ok :)

I received good news this morning... My beta numbers look great!

They were at 387 at 2 pm 14 DPO, and then 1887 at 9:30 am 17 DPO. So they more than quadrupled in that time period! It averaged out that my beta levels were doubling within 30 hours, and they like them to double within 48 hours. So that's good news!

My progesterone was also great at 22 at 14 DPO. They want it to be over 10 at 4 weeks.

That gives me a little piece of mind... but now it's a waiting game because my first appointment isn't for another 2 weeks.

@MrsStrawberry1: My bloat is on like donkey kong (oh gosh that dated me) anyway. I had to sleep on the couch last night because, well lets just say, my butt was very talkative.

@MrsMaine: Girl I am praying for you, you totally need to be a hotty july mommy.

@HopingToBeaMama:  That's great!  I don't have my first appt. until the 22nd and it is driving me mad because I have literally zero symptoms now.  No bloating, the boobs have gone down, my nipples are back to semi-normal size, and I feel great!  The spotting also stopped.

The only few things I still have are a little bit of a higher body temperature (I just feel warm) and I gag when I brush my teeth.  But I have zero food aversions, no lightheadedness or anything!

I'm just terrified I'm going to go in there and there will be no heartbeat or something.  I don't know why I can't shake the feeling the baby didn't stick!

How far along will you ladies be at your appointment? I will be exactly 7 weeks according to my O date, but according to my LMP, I would be 6w 6d.

I could have gone in on the 16th (@6 weeks) but my husband is out of town. BOOOOOO. But it's only 2 weeks from tomorrow. For some reason, I was thinking it was three weeks, so I was happily surprised today when i realized it's only 2 weeks away.

I believe I will be 7 weeks and change?  I don't know for sure because my cycles are 35 days and not 28 so it throws everything off.  I was supposed to go in THIS week originally, but they pushed me back to the 22nd bc of the cycle length. So I could be farther along or earlier than I expected.

Hoping everything is a-okay for everyone!  And that we get a few more BFPs to get a club going. There are so many Junebugs - where are the July kiddos?!

DH and I were at church yesterday and it was Communion Sunday.  I grabbed a piece of wafer from the tray but as soon as it hit the palm of my hand, it broke into two pieces.  At first I was embarassed because I thought someone would think I grabbed two pieces, but then I started kinda tearing up because it felt like maybe God wanted me to have two pieces - one for me and one for the bebe.  I leaned over and whispered to DH: "Look, God gave the baby a piece too" and he grinned from ear to ear.

@MrsStrawberry1: Awwwwwww! Love the story about Communion! A piece for the baby!!! :)

I'm curious how my doc will date me as well, but I'm the opposite. My last few cycles were 30 days, so I thought I'd O on 10/21. I actually Oed on 10/18 (I think), which means I'm about 3 days further along than my chart will show, and would have only had a 27 day cycle. It's only three days, and your estimated due date is only a general reference so it won't matter much, but I'm curious as to how they'll date the pregnancy.

Hi ladies!! Thank you for the warm welcome.

@Mrsstrawberry1: Your communion story got me so teary-eyed!! I'm terrified too that I will go to the dr., only to have him say that nothing is there, etc. ugh, the waiting is painful!

@HopingToBeMama: It sounds like our BFP's were so close! My cycles are really regular at 30 days each month, so I'm curious to see what the doctor puts as my due date. I will definitely update you all after my appointment on the 18th. They originally tried to schedule it for the 14th, but I'm out of town for work and had to push it to the 18th. I keep looking at the calendars wishing the days would hurry up!

So almost all my symptoms from last week have dissapeared. Except for some mild cramping, I feel great. It is a bit strange though, it's almost makes me nervous. At least when I felt sick I knew something was going on in there!!  Does anyone know what to expect at the first appointment?

@Dcw6411: I know!!  Me too!  No symptoms!  (Except a random craving for cheese pizza a few days ago, and pizza again today, eek.)  The first few weeks I was so tired and ravenously hungry and then I would get lightheaded from too much sugar or not enough to eat.  My boobs got huge, I was super bloated, all that stuff.  In the last few days I just feel completely normal - and its freaking me out!!

@MrsStrawberry1: Wouldn't it be nice if the dr.'s got us in right away, just to double check everything!?! I'm doing everything I can to not stress, and to remain positive (lots of deep breaths and walking every night with DH). I know once I see the doctor I will feel a little better mentally, but I, like you, had so much going on last week... And this week, well nada. DH looked at me last night and said, why do you have so much energy? Shouldn't you be tired?  :(
