I've heard a couple people mention they'd love to see house/apartment pictures (and I know I would too) so I figured we could post them all here. (I searched for an existing thread but didn't find anything so hopefully this isn't a duplicate.)
This is the house we just bought a few weeks ago so you can still see a few boxes in some of the pictures but we're a lot more moved in than I thought we would be at this point! Family and friends are amazing!
**Tell me if the pictures are duplicating themselves on your computers and I'll delete the embedded ones. I can't see the attached ones on my computer.**

What used to be the den/family room. It's amazing having so much space in the bedroom! Especially since the bed that my husband and his carpenter friend made is SO big even though it's a queen.
My Morning "Room" It's actually just part of the bedroom but I don't know what else to call it. I scored the chair at a thrift store and think I might be in love. :-)

our humble abode. I'll be posting some home makeovers in the next week or two after I finish painting some projects! Just as a teaser, check out our freakin' sweet living room pre-makeover =]
We're painting this week so we can get the floors put in, so I will be posting pics of that part, then it'll be another month and half til we close and can actually move in
I don't know if I want to show pictures yet LOL. Everyone has these beautiful colonials.
Pre-landscaping and my bathrooms pre-makeover.
EJS - Your house is adorable! I love it!
Roxy - I dunno, that bathroom is pretty sweet. You sure you don't want to keep it? ;-) And actually, I would say your landscaping looks much better than ours. At least you have some!
@caitlanc- Too bad I don't have any pictures of the pink tub with the gold doors hehe! I love that for landscaping they planted a tree that blocks the front door.
Beautiful houses ladies! I don't know if I want to post pics of the house we are renting. The inside is kind of cramped so it looks pretty messy. I will see if I can take pictures around the junk!
We will have to have an updated both in a couple of months when I have nice hard wood floor, new bathrooms, and pretty color walls.
I'll play! We just bought our house and moved in a bit over a month ago. Here are pics of some of my favorite rooms (I've posted before but oh well!)
@roxy,
LOVE your deck!
@Corgi,
I hate you. :P
Your house has so much character! Love all the different facets and the limestone base. The 2 story living room is to die for.
We just finished having it built and moved in a couple weeks ago!

Before we had our steps put on!

Okay here are the pics of our rental. Ignore the white walls, I hate them.

you can see our AWESOME landscaping out the window in the last picture! haha!
@Corgi, I LOVE it! Oh my gosh. I'm slowly working my way towards modern looks like that. Our bedroom is sort of a crazy limey green and our kitchen is now orange. I can't wait to make a before/after post! Our house is still very much in need of drastic help (and money!) but it'll take time. And your bathroom photo collage just gave me a great idea for an empty space behind OUR guest bath. =]
@roxy, is what I have what you're calling a colonial? Cuz I have no idea that's what it is! It was called "good price" =]
@Gerbera- thank you! so funny you say that though (that it has character) bc I think that is the one thing I wanted that our house kind of doesn't have! You can't tell from the pics really but its a new build in a huuuuuge development with about 5-6 different home styles so there are a TON of our exact same house. Thats really the only thing I didn't like because I never thought i'd be a cookie-cutter house owner.... but in this economy new builds are a STEAL and I absolutely love the layout so oh well :)
Also-- I'm so jealous of all you girls who actually know how to DECORATE! As you'll notice I have almost nothing up on the walls, nothing on the cabinets or on tables etc. I have no idea how to do anything other than buy furniture and paint.
We just moved in at the beginning of March! I love our new home!

Our Kitchen :)
@Corgi,
Completely understand what you mean. But I would sat that your house is not very typical development house.
Lots of development housing are typically a box with a dormer here and there. But yours, they actually spent some money on all the different faces.
Sigh. I need to move to the Midwest or out of NY State where housing is so expensive. I can't wait till FI and I move somewhere else and start shopping for our house. The house we currently own kinda fell into our laps.
CorgiTales - I'm with you! Our house doesn't have much character either but it's a pretty safe investment with almost everything on our wishlist so we couldn't pass it up. It's pretty funny. So far almost everyone in my parent's generation who's seen it has said, "Oh! I grew up in a house just like that!" Except that it's only 15 years old... Yours makes up for the lack of character with a GORGEOUS kitchen (and I actually love the exterior too.) And I call BS that you can't decorate. The stripes in your dining room are awesome and I LOVE your dining set.
@caniche- loove your house! especially the granite!
@gerbera- thanks :) It is a very unusual floor plan generally even though there are lots in my particular neighborhood. It is a 5 level split, which I had never even heard of before! re: the midwest-- yes you do! you would cry if i told you how much (read: little) we paid. I looked at moving to DC after school and decided against it because of the cost of living... the same house in a 'burb there would cost easily 4-5x as much. I'd bet NYC is even worse!
@caitlanc- i can buy and paint! thats it! I cannot arrange! haha. I need someone to come in and do all the buying/arranging of chockies :) i love the southwestern vibe in your house... it actually has a style!
Ooo!! I love showing off my houses!! Yes, I have two (anyone want one?!?).
Here's the old one...it's vacant and currently undergoing a remodel...

I don't have any great inside pictures, but the outside is the charm anyway :)
And here's the ugly outside of the house my husband and I picked out together (it was a repo and we got it for less than half of the appraised value!)
Don't judge by the cover...we did a full on inside remodel and have paint ready for the outside!

Here's the fence that the husband and I built ourselves!
Our hardwood floors we installed...and our fur baby, Ralphie
This is my office. I refinished that desk--I can do anything with a can of paint and some sandpaper!
and our bedroom
And our kitchen...this was before it was finished, but isn't the backsplash awesome?! I love it. This is where I do my cake baking :)
It was a 15-month overhaul, but I'm so glad we did it! I'd show you before pictures, but it really was that bad!
@Rosie--hehehe, I know! Just proves you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! But, in my poor little house's defense, the outside was in the BEST shape when we bought the house...it's getting a few coats of paint and some landscaping in the coming months! It'll get there...
@ corgitales - where is your dining room table from? I LOVE it and have been looking for something similar ....
LOVE EVERYONE'S PICS!!!
and, of course, I wanna play! hehe these were taken before we moved in - so alas no furniture...:)
This is our back deck - which connects our garage / breezeway / house

our tiny - but functional kitchen
WOW looking at these pics - the inside is SO different now - we've replaced the trim - it's a nice brown/matches the wood floors - the walls are an earthy green...
@JuneBride--your house looks so charming and quaint!! And after facing the heartbreak of having to hardwood over our hardwoods, let me tell you how lucky you are to have original hardwoods that are in such great shape! Take care of them!! I wouldn't trade our new floors, but our house would be worth more if we had the originals!
@junebride: The archway is so cute!!!! Your house looks like it has lots of character!
Just checking back, been busy with work LOL. Everyone's house looks so cute and has so much personality. Congrats to everyone!
I'm jealous of all of your homes right now because we don't have one! (we're not homeless, just renting)
BUT OMG I'm totally drooling over your house @corgi!!!!
Here is ours from a while ago. We have made lots of changes since then (added frames on the wall behind the couch, bought a new sofa, and put a large ficus in a nice pot by the front window.

This is the only pictures that I have on my work computer. We bought our home last May and we love it! We are currently replacing the lighting in the kitchen and repainting the kitchen. I will have to post before and after pics when we are done!
@pieceacake- great work!! those floors are amazing
@denverbirdlet- ashley furniture homestore..... love it so much!!
@bella- thanks! And congrats on the wedding!!!
Wow.
After seeing everyone else's houses, i'm seriously thinking of not posting pics of the bathroom that we just re-did.
Our house is tiny (hubby bought it before he met me with only him and a cat in mind) and I really want a new house. We have to wait a couple years though :(
thank you guys for the complements! i love our house, i do - but it would be nice if it were just a bit bigger. we only have about 860 square feet on the main floor and about the same in the basement (thank god FOR our basement! lol)
and I'm SO jealous of all you that have posted your huge kitchens with islands! we're considering adding a bit to our kitchen, but as you can see there's not a lot of room - we have one blank wall we can add another counter to, at least, but it's only like 48" wide... :p
again - so cool to see everyone's humble abodes!
@snmcdowell - I LOVE that blue! And your coffee table! Can I steal it? ;-)
@Corgi, I have the exact same dinner table! :) Yay for us!
Can't post pics right now, cause we don't have any! But I love your homes ladies!
@piecacake - yes, i LOVE our hardwood floors - the house was built in 1940 and i'm prettty sure they are the original - not in GREAT shape - but pretty good. and i LOVE not having to vaccum carpet! lol - course DH being a clean freak is ALWAYS sweeping... :p
here's another pic - in the basement - minus those paint cans (got rid of them) this area is my scrapbooking area - and on the other side of the basement we have a pool table which has a table top that I use as my scrapbooking desk! i love our basement. :)

here's the other side of our archway - looking from the living room into the dining room and into the kitchen...
and i must say i how much i LOVE how tall your rooms are - @corgitales!!!
@corgi- I love love love your dining room table!!! That is one thing I dont have in my house... a formal dining room. Next house though!
JuneBride,
My grandma's house which was also a ranch had arches like yours. I always liked them. Her house was built in MD in 1955, is that the era of your house.
