If I share pictures of a house I’m buying, how likely is it that someone can find the listing?
Does it matter if I take the pictures, versus ones right off the web?
I quickly tried a few picture look up search engines, but only a few. Some people here are wizards are finding out wedding dresses! It’s not something I use often, so am not familar with how good they work.

I want to share some pictures with some people, but I don’t want them to know the list price!

So I’m super nosey, especially when it comes to real estate, and I admit, when my friends buy houses, I like to look up details about the house and ultimately, how much they paid.
If they send me pictures, and I know the area they are buying in, I will go on realtor.com or zillow and find the listing. Depending on how many homes are for sale in the area, I can usually find the listing within 5 minutes.
In the end, once you move in and they know the address, anyone can find out the purchase price if they really want to know. It’s public record.

I’d just take a screen shot of the listing and then black or white out the parts I didn’t want them to see. Hopefully they would take the hint and not look any further. But ExcitedScaredBee is right in that, if they really want to know, they will find out.

@AB Bride: If you take your own pics,, from a different angle, it will make it harder for them to find it using Google Image Search. It can only find pics that ave already been posted on the net.
It will not stop anyone from going into the realty websites and looking for the home, based on knowing where you are looking.

@julies1949: Yep! I was going to say pretty much the same thing.

@ExcitedScaredBee: Only realtors can look that up here. I don’t think the people I know are nosey enough to contact a realtor to look it up!
